Good point!  For me its more like this.

Was a bad break up. It is way past 87-91 now as fans of appetite GnR we get music from GnR, Slash, VR, & Loaded, AA.  With all these guys still playing the hits + new(er) music. Im good with that. and do not expect anyone of them to release HITS  like they did as old gnr

Duff & Izzy playin with GnR was exciting and made everyone think of the past. 
BUT witrh bad breakups go some people get over it and get back together. And some move on and have some sucess after.

In this case GnR has a nice touring band that seem to get along. They have good songwriters and good showmen. Why wish for something that is not likely to happen?

I would like a one off or a reunion if it happens. but not at the expense of current line up .

In my eyes AXL, Slash,Duff,izzy & Steven have nothing left to prove or achieve. So I choose to be happy with current projects. And i hope none of the above guys are ready to retire !

You say you understand in the end with the KISS deal. Everyone feels different for one reason or another. Opinions & A$$holes !

Robert DeLeo, the bassist of the Stone Temple Pilots, is urging the band’s frontman Scott Weiland to seek help for his drug addiction.  Read more on Scott Weiland’s relapse below.

Weiland, who has previously battled alcohol and drugs, suffered a heroin relapse in late 2007, but said he kicked his addictions.

Weiland stated, “Heroin made me feel all right in my own skin. Before I did it I was uncomfortable going into crowds, which is interesting given my profession. But when I did dope, the fear went away. That’s why I hung on to it so long. But my kids fill up that hole now.”

But Weiland’s bandmate Robert DeLeo says he worries about his friend after he showed up two hours late for a recent photoshoot and interview with Spin magazine.  Weiland asked for four glasses of whiskey when he arrived.

DeLeo told Spin magazine, “He can’t got on tour. He needs help… He thinks he’s clean just because he’s not shooting heroin. But he’s popping pills.”

In September 2010, STP announced it was rescheduling several U.S. tour dates so that the band could take a "short break." This announcement comes a few days after Weiland said the following at a show in Houston, Texas: "I started drinking again. My brother died, I got divorced (from) my wife, and my whole world basically spun around. So you know what? I'm going to take care of myself because that's what I need to take care of.
