Dear lord..

Going to be interesting defending that one. The most dangerous band in the world is back, get it at wal mart.
Axl is definitely getting desperate if this is true.

On the other hand it would mean the release is pretty much sealed.

I'm so excited to have this confirmed as SR.

Is it possible for someone to change the title of the thread to something like "Chicken Dinner confirmed as Shackler's Revenge?"

I think Chicken Dinner sounds a lot better.

Who came up with that anyway? When he wasn't toothbrushing the floor that is.

25 spins so far. That ranks high for a leak.

It demands attention immediately with a mental institution style Buckethead scream. The dooming riff to follow is fresh enough and draws you into stomach Axl. Quite clever, you'd know it's him if you heard it on the street, but not right away. When he subsequently takes it up a notch you definitely know it's him. Some good guitar in the background. A lot of different stuff, but it doesn't feel messy. More like it's swingin' back there, grooving with the melody. Could in a sense compare it to the old Izzy and Slash combo on appetite.

Then we head straight for the bridge. Quite nice work from Axl here. You remember why he's a single name celebrity when you hear that hook. After that we're already at the chorus, and I must say it disappoints a little here. Axl is visiting song 2 territory for a moment and the blippy de blop guitar is kinda cheesy. But I guess it's alright, not too obvious. He'll probably get away with it.

Abruptly we're back at the beginning, ready for another buildup. This works very well. Shorter, meaner verse and we're back to bridge/chorus. The solo is pretty interesting. Definitely not something a lot of people have heard before. It's also pretty catchy and fitting when you get to know it. Grinds you up there like a rusty hardware tool and holds you. That leads straight into what is no doubt the coolest moment in the song. Axl takes over the solo in a way. The ferocity in his voice is amazing, and the hook incredible. Reminds me of Don't Cry when he goes off at the end before the final chorus. Ends with the usual chorus and some interesting guitar work before it breaks down to the beginning once more.

I say they got a winner.

I'll defer to you dark. Do you have an idea of what it might be?

If I said I knew exactly what 'it' is, I'd be asked for proof.. so lets go with, instead, a hypothetical situation.

In a parallel universe, I know exactly what it is.  In that same parallel universe, I don't think 'it' is SR.  In that SAME parallel universe, my not thinking that doesn't mean that everyone doesn't think that.

You're at like, what, 98 minutes left to see what's happening?  That's not too horribly bad.

You must be related to Phil Zelikow.

I'm looking forward to why it had to be this particular time.

You should have gone the silent route with the footage. Now that they know you'll share it all, the number of hoarders willing to 'help' decreases significantly.

Not much to be done about that now though. Let's just hope.

So this is what it's come to. Raiding families and shooting pets to protect us against some pot...

Screw police work, let's just go in guns ablazing like a couple of hoppers.

Maybe somebody should tell the DEA that drug use has increased tenfold since the 'war' began.

No he is not crazy. Not unless these guys are also.

Politicians can't keep a secret, true. But when he says 'government', that doesn't mean the White House. The US military is a compartmentalized structure. Many of them operate as small independent groups under total secrecy, answerable to no one but those organizing the financing. Secretary Rumsfeld admitted himself on the 10th of september 2001 that the defense department had 2,3 trillion dollars unaccounted for. Not exactly pocket change.

It's not hard keeping it a secret when you consider that in fact it isn't. A lot of people - professionals, physicists, high office - claim to know.

The reason it is kept a secret is much the same reason why it isn't known publicly. It would have a severe effect on human reality. Likely societal structures and order would radically change, or collapse. Imagine the connotations it would have on religion, science, international relations, economy, philosophy...collective focus...the power structure? The guys in charge definitely don't want to risk that, and neither do most humans. The fear of radical change is powerful. There's a reason we ridicule it the way we do.

Naturally the truth, if it exists, will come out. But I'd say they'd rather have it on their premises, when they feel we're "ready". No doubt in my mind, I've seen them in the skies.

Don't be such a kook James! We've already made up our minds, don't confuse us with all these facts!
