Have you heard about the 'School of the Americas'?
This is basically a training camp in how to subjugate a population and commit terrorism. These are the guys they pick out to lead the guerilla wars and coup d'etats in South America. Columbia is reported to not much more than a US satellite state at this point.
Convenient way of getting rid of him.

Unfortunately this is how it works with all political leaders. People elect faces, not competence.
It's these advisers that run the economy. Obviously they'll protect their friends interests in the future, as they've done in the past.
Put it like this; those friends ain't ours.

Seismologists measured the towers at 2.1 and 2.3 on the richter scale. This is 20 times higher than what is normal in collapses, and it was measured before they hit the ground. The Murray building didn't even measure on the scale.
The North Tower fell in a mere 8 seconds. That's theoretically faster than free fall.
