Thanks for that reminder. Can you link to the world cup 2018 thread at all?

England have a decent squad but no way are they favourites (which they are with some bookies) I know home advantage is big but I don’t see us beating any of France/Spain/Belgium/Portugal. I wouldn’t be that surprised if we don’t make it out of the group.

Hoping all the home nationa do well to be honest.

Think it’ll be France or Belgium that wins it.

I'm betting against England from the second group game onwards. Each time I lose, I will just increase my bet. I call it the BEEC strategy - Bet on Embarrassing England Collapse. I "can't lose". 16

My point is Hardschool is 20 years or more old with sketchy origins to who actually wrote it. It would be just as pathetic to retool Ain’t Going Down or Shadow of your Love. For God’s sake, Slash and Duff have been back 5 years!!! Come on, just 1 song from this version of the band! axl duff 21

That's not how this band has ever worked though. Even back in the day songs that had been written by Axl, Izzy and Huge back in their Indiana days ended up on GNR records many years later (Back Off Bitch).

If you have any hope of hearing something new from this band ever again, take some hope from the fact they soundchecked and rehearsed (with Axl!) an unreleased, new song that was worked on during the CD days and possibly earlier in the mid 90s.

They rehearsed HS at sound check with Axl?

Yup. Last year before the Mexico shows. Recordings of it leaked on Instagram.

My hope hinges on them soundchecking/rehearsing Hardschool with Axl actually doing vocals with them.

It's the most significant indication we may get new music at some point that we've had, more significant than anything they've said.

Wish you well Axl S. Wasn't bad for me, like APE I had a sore arm, but worse than I assumed it would be. Felt really good tho the week after, like super immunity or something. Drink a bit of water leading up to it.

Mostly, life stayed the same for a couple weeks after, still felt unsure but now a month or so later (plus summer/warmer weather) I'm feeling more confident & safe about things. Still wear the mask in the grocery store but outside feel ok.

Thanks dude, I personally hate needles but am looking forward to getting this done and over with.

Was going to be in town anyways around the time of the Atlantic City gigs so got a ticket. Fortus has hinted to a fan online that new music is happening for whatever that's worth.

Could be a bad flu/sick season next winter, let's hope these variants don't spread outta control and we don't need boosters again anytime soon. Restaurants & bars will likely struggle a bit in the wintertime, not sure I'd go out to eat in Dec/Jan etc, but glad it's ending.

Booster shots are going to be a thing, and public figures really shout be getting that message out so that folk don't think they're forever safe after one vaccination. Already talk in the UK of the booster shot rollout beginning in September.

Another guy I really liked was superMike. He was really active at HTGTH, joined us at ROV and here, but rarely posted to the point he was like a noob and no one really knew him.

He was a huge horror fanatic.

James, don't know what motivated me to login here but was thinking about my GNR brothers and sisters and haven't forgotten about you all. So sorry I've become a stranger, a lot of highs and lows in my personal life, especially the last 10 years and today I'm just trying to keep  myself on a straight path while this world's going to hell in a hand basket. Music, guitar and horror movies are still a passion of mine and was very fortunate to see G n' R live 2016.

And James, as for posters I remember very well besides you and DTJ, are SLC Punk, D, a poster on the HTGTH from Ecuador and huge fan of Queen (funny guy, can't remember his username though). Remember  Chelle from HTGTH? She was hot and fun to talk to on forums. Remember Mel from Australia on HTGTH as well? God, the 2000s compared to now look like the '80s don't it?

Did you miss the madness of Summer and Fall 2019? If yes, you need a PM.
