He's being sarcastic. Honest to God, I bet you right now there are people out there that believe DJ is the secret weapon.
The man is not even in Guns N' Roses, and if he was, it was for like 2 weeks. If what JIP said was true, even Ron referred to DJ in the 'past tense'.
Oh I wouldn't be surprised to hear he's gone. I'm surprised Axl has any of them left aside from Dizzy.

Skippy's right. It's never Axl's fault. Just ask him.
Someday, he'll be posting on his own, because Billboard won't accept his snail mail anymore, and he'll be droning on about how "Robin is a cancer", and "Bucket is a bad cop", and it'll be the record company's fault, or Steph's fault.
Whatever. I'll be long gone at that point, and Axl Rose will just be that guy I thought was so cool when I was a kid.
Ah you'll still be there. Nu GNR is like a horrible accident. You're digusted yet you can't look away. Axl lost his coolness for me in Montreal in 92. Still think he's talented but sadly he wasted it all. GNR could've been the next big thing but instead well we all know the rest.

I'm so excited for this!
I've changed my underpants like 6 times already!
Gooooooooooooooo DJ ! (He's the secret weapon, ya know)
Yeah the secret weapon. Weapon to what? Nothing's happening.

Even if it was in the afternoon I wouldn't take part in that. There's no way in hell this guy wille give out any info on GNR cause basically the guy probably don't know jack. And just so we're clear it ain't his fault. And I do not care about his other work so basically I would be bored. I seriously hope for him that he has enough people interested in his other projects so that he at least gets some interesting questions. But my prediction still stands. If there is ever a moment that he will regret joining Axl, this is it.

Anyone think DJ is gonna have his ass handed to him tonight as far as GNR goes? Poor guy.

That Robin "couldn't do it anymore" is completely understandable. I would have wished him all the best....
IF
He had actually bothered to say a proper "goodbye" to us.
We've been here for 10 years, just like he has.
A few sentences would be enough.
Why? Not to be an ass to quote buzzsaw but why would he have bothered? Othere than the few fans in the communities who cared if Robin left GNR? Other than the community fans no one probably knew he was in GNR in the first place. And lets face it, since CD has come out the community fans are slowly going extinct as well. There are way less posts in the GNR section here than there was before. At least that's what I notice. And in the GNR boards it's not everyone that was high on Finck to begin with. Seriously I see no reason to make an announcement on his part cause I'm pretty sure that when he left nothing was gonna happen anyways on the GNR front. Only reason we got CD is because some guy leaked the majority of the record. If not for the leaks we'd still be waiting on that record. Don't believe me? Listen to it again and even worse. Look at the book let or promo done by Axl and Company. He made the right decision plain and simple. Good for him.

He`s new.... he`ll learn, in around 8-10 years
If he's still in that band.
#488 Re: Guns N' Roses » Marc Canter Talks on MyGnR » 879 weeks ago
Without the GN'R name, Axl would sell the same tix Slash would solo.
My point exactly. Why I made it clear to sandman that Axl and Slash are on the same level.

this board is anti-Axl on average. but all opinions are welcome which is nice.
Holy shit! How can anyone believe that? And this is coming from a guy that is not that high on Slash here. Slash a #2??!! Gimme a fucking break! Ask Joe Public who was in GNR. They'll say Slash and Axl. VR was largely popular because Slash was in this obviously he wasn't the sole reason but it didn't hurt. When Joe Public asks for a GNR reunion they couldn't care less about who else will play in GNR as long as Slash is there. And even amongst fans. As long as Slash comes back it'll be GNR again (even though Izzy would be the one to make it GNR again). Slash I would say is known has much as Axl. And I'm willing to bet his solo record will be more successful than CD. Not bad for a #2 man. As for this board being anti Axl. I can't believe this. You have just as much Axl-ite here. But it's mostly realistic people not worshipping the shit Axl craps in the toilet.
you think slash could get a bunch of no names in his band and sell out MSG? not a chance.
i'm a die hard slash fan, but i'm not blind either. i hope his album is great. i hope it sells well. but i'll also realize that having some mega-stars appear on it will certainly help sales.
and on top of all this, he is constantly TRYING to be as famous as possible. yet he's not even in Axl's league.
Make Axl drop the name GNR which most than likely will give Joe Public false hope that the old band might be there (Especially since they often use old band pics to promote their shows) and have him do a show with the same no names he had in 06. Do you really believe he would've sold out MSG? Don't be blind on Axl either man.
#490 Re: Guns N' Roses » Marc Canter Talks on MyGnR » 879 weeks ago
I think the point was, Marc was a childhood friend of Slash and became friends with Axl, and is still "friends" with both of them. And as has been pointed out, he seems to be pro-Axl in a lot of his comments. Yet still people aren't believing that Slash could've possibly done anything wrong and Axl is still the villain. And I'm not really speaking exclusively of people on THIS board, more on some of the comments from mygnr. It's a fact that Axl cannot do right in some peoples minds. That's clearly being illustrated in this case. If people can't bring themselves to believe a neutral party who was friends with both guys, there's no hope in ever convincing those people otherwise.
I've always viewed the GNR situation this way. It takes 2 to tango. I refuse to believe that all the blame lies on Axl's shoulders, but I also refuse to believe that all the blame lies on Slash's shoulders. Egos got big in this band and they didn't know hot to handle their success. Plain and simple, at the end of the day they all have to look themsleves in the mirror and take their part of the blame Axl and Slash included.
