A huge difference between now and then is the arguments get more personal...and they turn into grudges.

People constantly fighting....over politics. When reading the HermanCainaward stuff on Reddit, the rage I see from a lot of those posts is mind boggling.

Imagine hating people over issues such as wearing a mask or who they voted for on election day.

Yeah, I don't get that.  I get making fun of these people (no issues here) but HATING is just something I can't comprehend.  I don't hate those people who choose to go maskless/non-vax.  I feel sorry for some of them even.  But in the end these people don't really affect my daily life and I can't muster up enough energy to hate.  This goes for BOTH SIDES too, just not for one side.  You had people hating trump and yeah I thought he was a horrible president etc but there's nothing I could do about it and really I'd choose to direct whatever energy I had towards my life into something more meaningful or positive.

I just can’t wrap my brain around the fact that someone couldn’t really get this thing back to where it deserves to be. Most of this stuff is just flat out common sense that any allegedly intelligent individual should comprehend.

The two problems (maybe) here are that we have no idea how motivated the red head really is in creating music.  And maybe he and Slash/Duff just can't write/record together (without Izzy) like the old days.  Slash obviously works on a different wavelength than Axl and maybe those differences can't/won't ever be resolved to where they can write and record normally as a band anymore.

Hire new management

Fat fucking chance.  Wasn't the rumor that the Lebesis' be made managers or they would fucking leave?  And yeah the band does deserve more than the half assed/no clue management they are getting now.  It's a fucking punchline and joke at this point.

Republicans are dropping like flies now...and they're getting younger.

Some are even having "Covid parties"...where they get each other sick hoping for herd immunity and of course, the ICU is in their near future.

Something has to be done about this.

It's like a mass suicide.

I don't get this.  I really don't.  If the goal in life, is to live as long a healthy life as possible.  Why the hell are these people doing this?  Just get the damn shot, FFS.

I really like this new version.  It sounds modernish and rocks.  The leak was a bit more mellow.  They definitely should have went with this over absurd.  Don’t care for the bell but it’s like minor.

I'd like to know what adult looked at that and thought these are great.  They will sell like hot cakes!

You know what they have Slash back in the fold, he probably couldn't have designed something that didn't look that hideous in five minutes.  Hell, I've seen some GNR facebook groups who put more effort into some of their designs than this "effort"

Nothing says half ass and we really DGAF than those UYI shirts.

Oh those shirts would aspire to be ugly.  It's below ugly whatever that tier may be.

Sometimes it still blows my mind that it turned into this.

The GNR of 87-93...no matter the lineup....operated like it was on the level of U2, Metallica, etc. Why? Because it was.

Less than a decade later it's a mere shell of itself and never recovers even when the inevitable, long overdue reunion happens.

It's 2021 and this operation can't bother to hire some social media person to promote their product or put up material on a website. Or just put out basic info that normal bands do.   Total amateur hour and has been for the last 25 years or so.

There is no reason to be anti-vax.  I suspect some of the states are going to be  doing the vaccine passport thing as well.  My state will require vaccine proof for in person dining in a few weeks.

I disagree on Trump.  At least on the vaccine argument, if it had come out after he had won.  There would be not as much rancor as you would think on the left.

Look the GOP is mainly anti-science (see the current attempts at using that livestock dewormer as a cure).  As long as the vaccine was supported by the science, most of the leftists/progressives would have taken it.

This one probably won't get the respect but if you're looking for one of time capsule movies that represents the 90s, yeah it's this one.  Saw it a while back (finally).  Grunge/alt rock soundtrack--check.  Flannel dress/wardrobe--check.  Idealism/philosophy on life vs realism (ie making money to pay rent)--yeah.  And add in some cultural stuff like The Gap being a trendy retailer.  Yeah, it's a great snapshot of the 90s.

Mission Impossible

The first MI still holds up as my favorite one.  It's got enough stunts or special FX for those who like those things but the plot is really good and the cast is great (Voight, Jean Reno, Kristin Scott Thomas) and doesn't become formulaic like some of the current MI films.

I was going to go with Hendrix but I think Flagg's one of Morrison is better.

If we are going NBA isn't it always going to be Len Bias?  Guy was supposed to help or be the next star for the Celtics after the big 3 got old.  Didn't happen and Reggie Lewis died early too and basically the Celtics went the drain fast.
