yup. the 2006 band was a fucking steamroller, especially when Izzy joined them onstage and Baz was talking nonsense shit, which for some odd reason was totally cool. loved that era.
I like 2006 better than now to be honest. Sure Slash and Duff are great, but 2006 OWNED.

John has the right idea here. The energy and spirit left at some point. Predictably really as you go through changes in your life.
There are plenty of reasons for this. When I see rock bands playing these days, aside from the money (and to me that's probably a small percentage who really bring in the bucks) it's not anything I'd want to do at my age. It looks exhausting to be honest. You're up there at 50+ years old belting out those songs you sang when you were in your 20s. You've got bills and responsibilities like anybody else, so you've got to keep plugging along. You're constantly on the move, touring by bus, plane...whatever. Hell yea you're spirit and energy are going to dip. You better bet you're going to dial it in. You'll give the audience the hits, make your signature moves and then take your tired middle aged ass back up to the hotel room.
When I see smaller bands like Slaughter or Faster Pussycat etc I almost feel sorry for them. Sure maybe some of them are still having a load of fun, but mostly they look worn the eff out to me and just trying to make it.

Did Trump just block the release of the democrat version of the memo? Did I read that right?
He did. Apparently over security concerns. Which only confirms how empty the GOP "memo" was.

Shutdown coming. Rand Paul stopping budget deal. No way to blame anyone but the dysfunctional GOP.
I was thinking that this morning. Completely dysfunctional. It's embarrassing really.
Who to blame?
Good lord; we’re really going to do this military parade that will cost millions of dollars? Exactly how small is Trump’s dick?
President bone spurs wants a military parade....because of course he does.

Just got my first paycheck under the new tax system. An extra $100 a paycheck isn’t bad.
Cool, now you only have to pay 39,900 a year in taxes!

The most they have now is that Trump was trying to help Junior by releasing that statement it was about adoptions. That's just... I really wish they had more. You can't impeach anything with that.
The most we know about that is...which is probably not much.
One of the biggest red flags to me, is that Trump refuses to enact sanctions against Russia after Congress voted for it overwhelmingly. If ever there was bipartisanship in Congress, that vote would be it.
They meddled in our election, and Trump's first action after getting into office was to work on returning two compounds to the Russians. Compounds we know they used to gather intelligence. He was briefed on Russian infiltration before he became POTUS and afterwards. Yet...nothing punitive towards Putin at all. Nothing.

I've never seen so many innocent people work so tirelessly to prove that they didn't do anything.
Who are we to believe? A pathological liar, who lies about almost everything, regardless of how inane? Or that there is deeply rooted corruption inside the FBI, who also happens to be investigating the pathological liar?
Trump has been slowly firing, and finding ways to push these people out. The other way is smearing them with the "bias" label, which is easy to do with conservatives who already feel the media (and whatever else, take your pick) is slanted against them. The memo will be the next move.
What's shocking is how far down the rabbit hole the GOP are willing to go with him. I know they want to retain power at all costs, but this crosses lines I never could have imagined.
It's all incredibly transparent, yet so many are willing to believe there is a vast conspiracy among the FBI, a historically conservative establishment, to oust Trump.
The memo will be like everything else they've put forth, a mere smidgen of cherry picked data the Trump sycophants want everybody else to see, while hiding everything else from public view as much as possible.
There were rumblings about Gates about to make a deal today. We'll have to see how that plays out. But it's clear that Mueller's investigation is getting much too close to the sun, while Trump and essentially the majority of the Republican party will do nearly anything to stop it.
Imagine for a moment, if four arrests were made during the Benghazi investigation, and as this happened Obama went 24/7 on the warpath against our intelligence communities and Fox News. All while firing those investigating Hillary and demanding loyalty from those who were part of that prosecution team. Are we sincerely to believe that any of these patriotic, all American conservatives would be fine with this?
Give.me.a.fucking.break.

Yea, no pattern there with Trump. It's clear he's been trying to obstruct.
That's why they've changed the argument to "Yea, but no collusion."

Things seem to be happening rapidly now. McCabe out. Trump refused to enact sanctions against Russia again. Kelly basically obstructing the DOJ. The memo’s coming; whether true or not, if it suggests FBI abuse of wiretaps, Trump could fire Mueller. I’ve actually seen rumors he could do it tomorrow before the SOTU. Melania has had enough. Crazy.
We're inching closer to all hell breaking lose IMO.
But:
McCabe's early departure only made things worse for Trump. That's how stupid Trump is.
Just like if he fired Mueller, they'll be another FBI man right behind him with all Mueller's work and Mueller's team at his side. That's how stupid Trump is.
And:
It sure is funny how pro police and law enforcement the GOP was until Mueller started getting close to Putin's little puppet in the White House.
