I again recommend Nashville Pussy.  I have the album shoot first and run like hell.  Great rock music.

exactly. the problem is other boards feel that it is necessary to HATE slash in order to justify their love for axl. they discredit his work in gnr for christ sake.

they make no sense at all. they claim that slash's work on the albums THAT MADE THEM LOVE GNR is boring and predictable. ya. really fucking boring...so boring that it gets you to follow a band for 20 some odd years. gimme a break.

Exactly!  And trust me.  I ain't no Slash-ite.  As a matter of fact his work since he left GNR to me has been really weak.  Only album I will occasionally listen to is the first Snakepit record.  The second Snakepit album is collecting dust somewhere in my shelves.  The first VR record had a couple good songs but the rest was pretty much crap.  And Libertad....  Well Libertad not only collects dust but along with the second snakepit album will probly never make it's way in my stereo ever again cause well it sucked and sucked big time.  But in no way I would call Slash a #2 man or talentless.  When Slash puts his heart into it, he can make some of the best music out there.

I probly still won't buy that record.  Unless it is really good.  But judging from Slash's work post GNR.  I won't be buying this.

Slash is a great #2 man. nothing more.

this board is anti-Axl on average. but all opinions are welcome which is nice.

Holy shit!  How can anyone believe that?  And this is coming from a guy that is not that high on Slash here.  Slash a #2??!! Gimme a fucking break!  Ask Joe Public who was in GNR.  They'll say Slash and Axl.  VR was largely popular because Slash was in this obviously he wasn't the sole reason but it didn't hurt.  When Joe Public asks for a GNR reunion they couldn't care less about who else will play in GNR as long as Slash is there.  And even amongst fans.  As long as Slash comes back it'll be GNR again (even though Izzy would be the one to make it GNR again).  Slash I would say is known has much as Axl.  And I'm willing to bet his solo record will be more successful than CD.  Not bad for a #2 man.  As for this board being anti Axl.  I can't believe this.  You have just as much Axl-ite here.  But it's mostly realistic people not worshipping the shit Axl craps in the toilet.

I think if DJ was out he'd have updated his website to reflect the changes.

Or maybe I'm just wishful thinking. The more i've looked into him - the more I think he's going to be great in GNR.

Assuming Axl's voice is still in rasp mode as it was in 2006-7 tour, i think a line up with that Axl, then with DJ and Bumble sharing leads will be the best line up since the UYI tour.

Personally I'd remove it from my site if I was DJ.  BUT maybe his line of thinking is "who will notice?"  Or more importantly "who cares?"  Go and ask Joe Public who did replace Robin Finck in GNR.  They'll probably say they don't know who Finck is and that he was in GNR and left.  And they'll probably finish by saying who cares?  Bring back Slash.  Sad but true.

it has NOTHING to do with DJ or Bucket or Robin or anyone else.....

I completely agree.  The silent era has nothing to do with anyone except one Axl Rose.  And I agree with Axlin.  DJ is long gone.  Only thing I wonder is if he'll use the GNR name to promote his other ventures.

It's still a big call dude....like without getting to the who's at fault stuff...are you saying when GNR finally tours - be it late this year, 2010, 2011 or whenever the next tour turns out to be.....that you don't think DJ will be in the band? I don't think there's anything to suggest he's gone is there? Other than the wait...which is pretty normal in GNR.

I beleive DJ will be part of the line up when it finally happens. Be fun to see who's right...it's kinda a flip a coin in this band!

We're in a another silent era that could last lot longer than the last one we had.

Obviously if it happened, DJ would be the reason.  Without him I'd say there's next to zero chance but with him, it could be a possibility.  I'd love to see it, never gotten around to seeing Motley live.

I just noticed this on wikipedia for what that's worth:

Apparently comments from Vince in 2008:

"it's like if somebody pulls your hair when you're in third grade, are you still going to beat them up? ... I don't think so." He also noted that he had not spoken to Rose in more than 20 years

Opens a doorway to me....make it happen DJ 9 14

First on the DJ being the one to be able to make this happen.  Are you guys serious?  The guy just joined GNR and for all we know he could be gone already.  And even if he's still in I'm pretty sure his influence in GNR is pretty much non existant.  He has done nothing with them except MAYBE rehearse.  DJ is not a factor at all if this were to happen.  As for the war of words between Nikki and Axl.  What Nikki said is really not that bad.  He said CD was great just not a GNR record.  As for what Axl said, I don't know what he said but I'm pretty sure Sixx would ignore that. After all the things that were said between the Crue and Vince Neil when they fired him, and they still took him back.  So it would not be a problem.

On a lighter note.  While debating this why do I have the song Man in the mirror playing in my head?  Scary.
