There are some questions as to what 'leave' is and some are saying they'd be better off filing for unemployment now. Any thoughts on that?
What made this tough is that the government determined my service to be an 'essential business' and I could have rested my laurels on that but deep down I just could reconcile that.
God forbid if someone got sick and we infected the whole company or some actually died...I couldn't live with that.
I pay huge amounts into unemployment insurance and have for many years. In the mean time...I'm making sure that everyone's paycheck is full for the 25th despite mass cancellations during the last pay period. I guess I just wrestle with if that's enough.
Anyway, I bought myself a little time now to figure this out.
I don't know that anyone will have good answers for this until the government decides what they are going to do. Trust them or not, they have complete control over this situation and we/you are at their mercy. If you can, try to put off a drastic decision until they make a decision. You may not be able to, but that's the only way you're going to get an answer you can count on.

Ok...I have a PS4 (which I use for gaming) and an xbox that I use mostly for videos - willing to consider games for either. I typically play sports games, but I'm open to other ideas. Probably not 1st person shooter unless it's star wars. Give me ideas on fun ways to kill time that aren't so deeply involved that I won't have fun if I'm not very good at it (which I won't be).
I'll be divorced before this is over if I don't find something to do...

So...the only subject I'm interested in beyond this going away is how this stimulus package is going to play out. I know some won't care about this, but since the political thread is back to being childish, perhaps the discussion can go a more productive route here.
As expected, the Senate plan is okay for regular people, but heavily leaning towards benefiting business. Pelosi made a couple comments along the lines of not allowing corporations to use this to pay executives or buy back stock, which I agree with wholeheartedly (though I don't know how you enforce it). I'd also like to see more money going to regular people over corporations. I'd like to see small businesses get protection over large corporations. There have been economic challenges in the past, but this one specifically is hurting small businesses and employees of those small businesses. People working at restaurants are taking a beating even if the restaurant managed to stay open. Some that tried to stay open are already closing 2 days later. THOSE are the people that need help.
I don't know that we'd qualify for anything at the numbers I've heard...currently not a big deal, but my wife works for a small company and I'm not sure they are going to emerge from this if it drags out too long. We do okay, but we're not rich and losing her income wouldn't make us homeless, but it would certainly cause some lifestyle changes.

I posted an article from someone with impeccable credentials and he said what I've been saying for weeks. That's pat on the back worthy for sure.

Yep, instead of sitting there like a pussy, he's doing something about it.
But this is how I know I got you...you pick 3 words and can't even contemplate touching the rest of it. Good day! Keep hiding.
They were probably the 3 most 'backfired/foot in mouth' words written by any human on the planet today. Have a nice day!
Sorry I own you chump. You'll recover like most will recover from the virus. Hopefully the same can be said for the economy...

Yea...I read it and I shrugged. Just another person trying to talk out of both sides of his mouth...
He says, 'there's so little that we know' but somehow extrapolates and infers a mountain of information based on what little we know.
It's just more posturing to me...posturing by someone who'll likely not encounter the worst consequences from other peoples' poor decisions and lack of consideration.
Did you bother to look up who it was since you obviously don't know without looking it up? It wasn't you or I posting it...

Interesting article posted by someone who up until now has been pro-hysteria.

It seems like they are replaying yesterday's shows now because I heard this part of the show yesterday.
