I think I just saw the Fonz go by on waterski wearing his leather jacket...

Izzy and Slash had in my opinion the greatest interaction between a lead and rhythm guitarist. Go listen to the beginning of Locomotive one speaker at a time, then go listen to any VR song. If you don't think Izzy played a key role, you're wrong. He may not have played the only role, but he was as key as anyone in getting the AFD sound that made GnR famous. The guitars played off each other - in many instances not playing the same riff, but playing similar riffs that compliment each other.
I love Slash, but give Izzy his due. Slash has never been able to have that same relationship with a rhythm guitarist - Gilby was close, but he was replicating Izzy's role.

and yet, Paul currently leads the poll:
Paul Tobias
100% - 2 votes
Slash
0% - 0 votes
It's not even worth jumping through the hoops necessary to vote in the poll for those of us that use the latest post feature.

Which band? That will dramatically affect my decision.

I saw the video this morning for the new song...the song is weak. Surprisingly weak 1st single choice for them.
#5376 Re: The Sunset Strip » Your Top 20 favourite albums. In order. » 899 weeks ago
I wouldn't give anybody shit anymore for liking it. Just because I don't care for it doesn't mean someone else can't like it. TWAT might make my top 25 songs all time, but I can't stand much of the album. My big thing was the people that were saying it was the best album ever before it even came out...I'm ok with you thinking that AFTER it's released (or leaked), but to say that before is pure nonsense.
I picked my top 20 by initially looking at albums I can pretty much listen to without skipping songs. There aren't a lot of them. I don't know if that says a lot about me or about music.

Most people think Matt is a dick, therefore he can't be a good drummer. I think he's the best drummer GnR has ever had, but in any case, he's just the drummer. Even though people say they wouldn't go if he was the drummer, they are obviously full of it because nobody in their right mind would miss a chance to see their favorite band because of which drummer they chose out of the 5 or so they had.

Do any of you believe Duff would be apart of GN'R minus Slash?
He already was from '95 till '97...
...until he figured out Slash wasn't coming back.
#5379 Re: Guns N' Roses » Axl Rose Speaks to Billboard » 899 weeks ago
That's it exactly. That doesn't mean it's ALL Axl's fault. It isn't, and most of us know that. But he has to take his fair share of the blame for what happened instead of blaming Slash the couple times he chooses to speak. There are way too many coincidences for Axl not to be the biggest reason for the breakup of the old band. Again, not the only reason, but everybody seems to get along with each other except for one guy...that says something.

When are the people going to get the money instead of the corporations? Shit, pay off 1 mortgage for every household (US Citizens and Green Cards only). That will get far more money back into the economy than bailing out any bank or car company.
