That shootings pretty hard to believe. Then again so was sitting on George Floyds neck for 9 minutes while he suffocated, as was Ahmaud Avery. Others as well.

Still, shooting someone in the back, at close range, who didn't seem violent or attacking the officers?   I mean, I guess wait for the police bodycam video. Fortunately, he did survive it seems.

The mythical youth vote.

Biden is having to appease the left while promising to be moderate, but Bernie is promising to fight Biden the day after the election to make him go far left. So if Biden wins, we'll see at least two years of democrats fighting each other for power. That's not a winning formula. I'm seeing more younger moderate/libertarian Republicans now teaming up with anti cancel culture liberals who are becoming more and more anti woke (Greenwald, Taibi), even with feminists and gays who are fighting against the transgender movement. The next two years are going to be very interesting.

Well, look at the GOP since 2000 really.   W was a Reagan throwback to 'the good ole days' that was a disaster of a presidency that ended with an economy in free fall. Since then?  Moderate/borderline liberal John McCain, Mitt Romney, and train wreck donal trump who torpedo'd the RNC primary.  Who else, oh Mitch McConell.

Not exactly a breath of fresh air.  Nikki Haley obviously is a 2024 candidate, Ben Sasse seems intelligent, myb worth keeping an eye on.  But I wouldn't pose Biden as some ideology, he's more just get trumpf the F outta there then have everyone run again in 2024.

Going back a bit to earlier in the thread & females, any thoughts on Kim Carnes (Bettie Davis Eyes)?

Just a 1 hit wonder or more there?  Heckuva hit, great song.

Wish Nena, 99Luftballoons had more in the US.

Napsters a pretty good point. Prolly not the whole album, but if they leaked like 2 songs at once, then a 'hit' (Better) for the 3rd leak, demand becomes incredible. Label jumps up & down & puts in out Christmas season 2000/2001.

I wasn't a huge fan of the DNC's convention, seemed geared to a milennial audience with alot of Boomer talent with some youth blended in. A bit cheesy overall. Now that its complete tho, I'm curious to see the RNC's, in hindsight, it's probably a tough creation to do. Bidens speech was good tho, almost back to the old Joe. I'm not sure the debates are as scary or close to a catastrophe as trump hoped it was gonna be.

I thought itd be cool if they included like little 5 minute videos about small towns, cities etc done by like YT creators or something. Like mini-Netflix docs or 30 for 30s. As I said tho, curious to see what the RNC has in store.

Huh? How does the first statement not contradict the second?

The "I'll kick your ass" line is the worst thing Axl's ever written.

The chorus lyrics are solid.

He made a powerful song with Civil War level potential about personal vendetta.

1:38-1:56 & 4:15-4:35

and its just too slow. Sorry I prolly haven't listened to it in about 10 years so I don't know all the lines, yeah, the I'll Kick Your Ass In is dumb, but the song sounds like music for a ballad with Jah Rule & JLo or something.

'Sorry''s kinda sappy. I don't think the lyrics are much of an issue. Tempo during verses & chorus probably needs to be sped up a bit. Bridge/Pre-chorus is the best part.

Fair point, although you gotta say that to say 'Trumps gonna win by a landslide' is pretty ridiculous. I get it, the polls were wrong in 2016 etc, but right now, Bidens like winning in states like NC & possibly TX is fading red, I mean, it's really really looking like a losing fight for the GOP & they gotta be thinking of torpedo'ing trump in September if things don't turn around soon. Look at downticket Senate & House seats, mcconnells gonna look to save his own ass if he begins losing polls. No way he does down with trump, he'll bail if & when he needs to.

No one says that & the final numbers will be way lower due to 60-80% population immunity.

Corporate money obviously disgusting but no inflating the bubble means the system crashes its coming but I’ll take the extra time. Hold onto yer butts

He’s ineffectual though I agree

Trump gonna win by a landslide

Only way he doesn’t is if he croaks

I think if he wins by a landslide while simultaneously being deeply unpopular means the system is already broken.

haha,
