I gotta say I don't see anything wrong with him doing this interview, the only negative I will probably find is that it's really soft and nothing is said.

As far as saying "he shouldn't go on this show but should go on that one instead" etc etc.  From an outside perspective (i.e. someone that doesn't live in the USA) I couldn't tell you how big Kimmel is or isn't, or if Letterman is bigger than Conan etc etc.  It doesn't make a lick of difference to me because I don't know where they all sit in the pecking order.  So I couldn't care less which show he goes on.  All I know is he's doing an interview which I think is a good thing, whether it be Kimmel or Sally Jessie Raphael interviewing him.

I imagine he was shitting bricks getting up there to play with an idol.  I would now, let alone at 20 years old.  Good experience and exposure for him though and very classy of Slash to get a relative unknown up there with him.

I gotta confess that at my recent Slash gig I was busting and utilised the start of his solo to siphon the python.  Made it back just as he was breaking into the Godfather theme.  Perfect timing!

Poor guy he sounds very excited and optimistic - as he has for a number of years.  Hope he's not disappointed again.

Hopefully his comment about the accoustic set and adding a couple of songs that they haven't before is accurate.  Athough sadly my guess is it will be original GNR stuff not new stuff.

Although that said if everything is "spontaneous live" how would he know what they were going to add to the set list that doesn't exist.

I've had 3 cats and 2 dogs during my lifetime and the wife wants another cat and/or dog for the kids. my preference is to wait until we move to a new bigger house, particularly for the dog. My son who is almost 2 loves animals so we will have to get one soon.
