We also know Axl isn't quite sane. Perhaps we don't know exactly what's wrong with him, but insanity of some sort is his only explanation. There is plenty of evidence of that as well. I'm not saying he doesn't recall things better than the others - he probably does, but what he recalls may be very different than what actually happened. The mind can play terrible tricks on you if you let it.

You think? I think theyre valid anough after the essay written by Axl yesterday. If the mods have a problem, thats fine, I'll edit it happily.
I don't think there's anything wrong with the question per se, I just don't think you're going to get the result you're looking for. The questions may be valid, the way they are being asked isn't doing you any favors. Take that from someone that is as interested as you are in getting them answered.

I belive the sober guy.
Pretty easy. I've always belived him the most although Im not saying he's right on all subjects. Just look at The Dirt and see how different people see a situation
The thing is, Axl's viewpoint was and is skewed by his extreme paranoia. That is a mental/psychological problem which can be just as problematic as drug/alcohol use when it comes to telling a story.
Amen brotha.

You can get an honest answer to an honest question without stating your bias as part of the question. I don't think starting him out by saying "Given your obvious hatred towards Slash" is going to relax his guard to give you an honest answer.

Given your obvious hatred towards Slash and placing the blame for all things that went wrong at his feet, why did you spend so long trying to get him back in the band - as has been stated in the past?
Also, if everything that happened was everyone elses fault, how come all of the former members of the classic lineup can all catch up and have a beer together as friends? Or play gigs together etc etc....
At least I tried to be somewhat diplomatic about it. You just sucker punched Axl Rose.

What do you mean? Adler couldn't even do his job he was so strung out. He deserved to be fired and the whole band agreed on it. They gave him plenty of chances to straighten up and he never did. The breakup of the band was more about their egos than about one or more of them not being able to perform their jobs. Adler got exactly what he was asking for.
I didn't say Adler didn't deserve it. It should have been an eye opener. You could make a case for other members deserving it as well at times. I don't know that they all agreed to it at the time, and if they did, you don't know why they all agreed to it at the time. As has been stated many, many times, it's questionable as to whether Slash and Duff could have an opinion on anything during some of those times.

Did he ever play on stage with Vr? I think he might have not sure.
Well Izzy Left Gnr when Slash and Duff were there.
He also left the earliest form of VR, the project, when Slash and Duff were there..... See a patternHe has played onstage with Axl. Not so sure bout him playing with VR
Hasn't he been known to hang out at clubs with Slash, Duff, and even Adler? I think Izzy gets along with everyone. He and Duff were always the most laid back in the band, although Duff has definitely taken a side in this fiasco.
Everybody but Axl was there for the 20th Ann. of AFD at the Key Club. they are close enough even if they aren't as close as they were.

IF you were to split it up the AFD lineup, this is how it would look:
Axl: Izzy
Slash: Duff, Izzy
Izzy: Axl, Slash, Duff
Duff: Slash, Izzy, Axl (to some small extent - I think his problem with Duff is he feels Duff chose Slash over him)
Adler: Adler, that dude he blew for some smack
Izzy somehow managed to stay out of all of the mess and still gets along with both sides, and I think a lot of that is because he left before the huge blowout. In retrospect, the Adler firing should have been a red flag to everybody involved for so many reasons.

If you had it to do all over again, what would you have done differently with the AFD/UYI band to try to prevent what happened from happening?
How big of a role do you feel Izzy leaving played in the rest of the band leaving you?
Dizzy was rumored to be considered for the band before AFD came out. What role would he have played on that album? What songs may have appeared on AFD had he been in the band (NR, Don't Cry?) that were somewhat written but not ready for release?
What did Robin bring to the table that you felt BH wouldn't/couldn't as a lead player?
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
