I'm a fan of Rob and Matchbox and I'd never heard of that. Not saying it hasn't happened, just saying I've never heard about it.
Go visit their website (unless they changed it - haven't been there for awhile) and you'll see all kinds of fan interaction. Direct conversations. Information about the band and what's going on when the other guitarist left.

I wonder what Axl thinks of our friend buzzsaw?
The best thing that could ever happen is Axl sitting down and talking to me (or somebody like me). I think the discussion would be far more productive and informative for both Axl and the fans. Alas, something like that would never happen. He would never be interested in sitting down and having that discussion.

eh - I don't think he really said anything. Anyway, I'm way past whatever he says. I've been down that road a few too many times. Let's see what he really does. I'll let you guys gush over what he did (or didn't) say.

If someone can find something negative in what Axl did last night, then that's really all you need to know about them. This is a GOOD thing.
What he did isn't necessarily negative. A lot of what he said can certainly be taken as negative.

Well, it's what a lot of people want. The reunion talk will never go away until at least one of Slash/Axl is dead. Nor should it.
