To me the most insightful thing in this article is the concept the Michael Cohen was (theoretically) locked up the second time as retaliatory from Federal officials for writing the book?!  That's like 'Enemy Of The State' type government stuff. To think the Feds sent someone to tail him, catch him doing something wrong (not wearing mask in public) and release an image of it to the media, giving reason to lock him up?  Strange. Scary if true.

The other stuff, yeah that all happened.

Willie Nelson does a great Time After Time.  I'm not sure I agree one the 'songwriting' aspect of her. She didn't write GJWTHF, nor True Colors, and the guy from The Hooters co-wrote TAT. One could look into it and question how much should be attributed to him, a no-name at the time versus her who I'm not sure wrote many hits later on.  The Hooter blew up after that mostly after they were selected for Live Aid. (I think the Hooters guy later also wrote 90s hit 'What If God Was One Of Us)

I view her more schtik, and Madonna more ingenious. 'Changed her image' I think is keeping up with the times and changes. Not sure Brittney did that 15 years later. I'd compare Cyndi Lauper to Christina Aguilera (less vocal talent tho) always the #2 to the #1. Limited songs for a narrow era of time. Agree she's more  of an act or cover singer. Lisa Loeb or Cher type.

Yeah, the wrestling tie-in was weird. Kinda cashed in on it at the time, but killed her career longterm. 5 years out there was no looking at her without looking for Lou Albano.

I think like Nirvana for early 80s femaie acts there's pre & post Madonna.I didn't follow country, not sure of CMT's impact in the mid 80s, but I'm not sure there was a market or niche for her.

I know the 2 songs (Angel of Morning, Queen Of Hearts),, they're good songs. Really good, I think it was more a late 70s sound, kinda like the rock bands time who got shunned with music videos (38 special?).  She's pretty tho, had the look, nothing against that, just the timing. Ashame tho, probably had talent.

This is exactly why his VP pick was so crucial.

Remember all the people who laugh at the thought of a senile Reagan minding the store?

Are they still laughing?

In the 2020s.... such a possibility isn't humorous.

I view it more like a committee tho, like his advisors/cabinet, or just a general DNC thinktank. I guess really she's in step with them, but I think Cheney usurping W is more along the lines of what your saying, where the VP became the Prez. I don't think what she says will go. Not without any question.

UK crashes into deepest recession of any major economy

Wow, is Brexit not going well?  I realize alot of it is Covid related, but I don't know that UK suffered it any worse than anyone else, unless specific industries they are in were impacted harder?

As bad as Covid has been for Trump, I think it would be 100X worse for Biden to inherit.

Hmmmm, I'm not sure I agree. Biden will likely be PINO (Prez In Name Only) and more of a figurehead with advisors telling him what to do. Upon hearing it at daily briefings early on, they would have told him to act. Dems tend to be funded/supported by healthcase industry, but in looking a Wuhan & Italy I'm not sure they were enxious to encounter that.

They definitely would've been pushing for vaccine funding etc.

What are you talking about?  Its 49%-42%.. Yeah it matters by state not national, but certainly one couldn't say Biden "had nothing going for it"

Whenever a 2 person poll hovers around 50% its tough. 51% mathmatically is impossible to lose. (Granted, its probably 'likely' voters etc, but still 48% has ALOT going for it)
