Zep will be on Letterman Monday night, Dec 3rd! Don't think they're performing, and it's just the three guys according to this article:

I didn't realize that Vince came back as an employee after his absence. Fascinating. In reality, it's Nikki's band anyways and always has been, but as an employee it seems to me he's got them by the balls. And depending on how the whole thing's structured, it seems to me that Vince get all the reward and no risk, a la Izzy on parts of the UYI tour, Rick Wright on The Wall tour...

Off to check this for myself, but how much writing did Vince get credited for on the albums after his return I wonder. Not that he ever had a ton to begin with if I remember correctly.

Capone coming out at the end was just awesome. I'm ready to see a serious escalation in mob violence, old-school style!

Not bad at all. It's hard for me to get into the singer very much, especially after watching him lifelessly play the opening to SCOM behind his head. But the song is actually pretty good.

When I was cruising wiki, I came across this little factoid that I've never seen mentioned before:

"In June 1998, Adler joined the newly reformed hard rock band BulletBoys, along with future Guns N' Roses guitarist DJ Ashba."

Steven relapsed and/or got arrested before they could go on tour, but thought that was pretty amazing.

Frank and Ron absolutely kill on CITR. What a great song.

Axl came alive halfway through 14 Years, and Izzy is god. Just a cool muthafucka. Lost my shit at the near three guitar pile up just after the second chorus going into Bumble's solo. big_smile

That's what I'm thinking too. He looked a little Michael Bolton in that pic above but I think its just his tm.

It would also be funny if it fell off and there was a KFC bucket underneath

Are there any pics of him where we can see this supposed thinness? That hat is never falling off. To be safe he could put a strip of Velcro around it though.

Fast zombies, and it's just plain over. Slow zombies, ala the WWZ book- we've got a chance, but only if everyone gets on the same page relatively fast. The strength of the shamblers that overcomes their slowness is that they never tire.

For the best religious take on zombies, hands down, go see Prince of Darkness. It's a bit aged, what with the giant porn mustache on the lead and the girls' hairdos, but it's a terrifying movie to this day.

I don't have to go see it. I've got it on DVD. One of my favorite John Carpenter movies, fantastic soundtrack, Donald Pleasence & Alice Cooper in the same film... 'nuff said.

Creepy ass movie, and a SORELY underrated gem from Carpenter's later 80's, and ignored catalog.

Believe it or not, I heard a rumor that the plot for Prince of Darkness was Carpenter/Hill's original idea for Halloween IV when they were renegotiating -- had it continued the anthology format set forth in Halloween III. They had two ideas, this one continued the Halloween III format, and they had another Michael Myers story that never got made once Moustapha Akkad won the series back in court and released Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers in 1988 a year later.

In some strange way, like H3... Halloween IV: Prince of Darkness -- it still works as both a stand-alone and a Halloween entry.

That's fucking fascinating. Ome of my favorite movies of all time and I had no idea of its history. Thanks !
