Man, I saw the pictures and didn't have the heart to watch it. I mostly remember him from NWA wrestling. From what the son wrote I don't think he meant anything bad by posting it. It's probably really frustrating to see your dad deteriorate and know it was concussions that did it.
The one guy I worry about is Mick Foley.
A lot of those ECW guys in the late 90s will probably get or already have CTE. Both WWE and WCW were at least a little safe as opposed to the ECW wrestling style.

Randall Flagg wrote:Now that SCOTUS has kept the ACA intact and 2 of Trump’s appointees to include ACB sided with the 7-2 majority, are we going to hold those who screamed Armageddon accountable? Or is such hyperbole and hysterics par for the course?
How does one interpret this in any other way than the way Trump and other Republicans presented this?
They put 3 justices on the court in 4 years and among many other things, claimed they'd be able to overturn the ACA. This was their stated purpose, was it not?
I suspect that it was only to GOTV. The Roberts court has been moderate on social issues and pro-corporation on business. I never thought that it had a chance of being overturned.
Going back to ACA, you remember when McConnell was trying to overturn it, and they had those town halls where the Republican senators were shocked at how angry their constiutnets were at the possibility of the ACA being overturned?

I guess ID is under the impression that this country is not a leading consumer of Chinese made bullshit.
I’d say anyone who buys these products is equally responsible.
The genocidal communist slavers are worse. We shouldn't be doing business with them (with our size, of course we're the #1 consumers, I mean, yeah) but no one should be. I know you hate America, white people, men, republicans, centrists, the government, southerners and who knows who all else, but even you, considering how much you hate this country, cannot deny the fact China is worse.
Yeah, this country has it's "issues". But China is leagues worse than the USA. I'm not sure how anyone can aruge this. They used to have a policy where you could only have ONE child. And there's the other shit you mentioned.
The reliance of USA and the World on Made in China products are a whole different topic and discussion.

I was never a big fan neither. .
I remember in the early 90s he had a talk show on CNBC and he came across a tad awkward. It wasn't a natural fit for him.
I remember that show. He came off as some cranky old guy who was out of touch. He'll probably be remembered for his Midnight Run role and deservedly so.

Alternate universe UYI...
You Could Be Mine
Don't Cry
November Rain
The Garden
Coma
Breakdown
Locomotive
Estranged
Dust N Bones
Double Talking Jive
Live and Let Die
Yesterdays
I dump LALD and Don't Cry. Sorry, Don't Cry hasn't held up at all. It's not awful but fucking hell it just kind of sits there and is just average. I try to fit in Dead Horse and Don't Damn Me somewhere in there. Maybe one of Breakdown or Locomotive goes. As much as I want to maybe cut off the Garden from this list, the Cooper involvement in the song almost gurantees it stays.

Roadies blowing coke up her ass through a straw.
That has to be one of the hilarious stories I've read about Rock star drug abuse ever.
Back to the topic, for me it would be Sticky Fingers. Multiple classics and an easy listen trhoughout. I like side 2more with all the non hits like Moonlight Mile, Sister Morphine and Dead Flowers.

It may help to drink alot of water leading up to it. I was fine, no sickness, but drank alot for shot 1. Wish you well, congrats!
Finished my second shot on Thursday. I got side effects more severe than the first shot. Body aches and pain 12hrs afterwards, lasted maybe a day. The arm pain was worse (but shorter in duration than the first shot). But anyway.
GET REST is my advice. If you feel even a little tired, go to sleep or just don't do anything that is too taxing. On Friday, I basically did very little (had no energy) and got a LOT of sleep. I was close to back to normal on a Saturday.

Imagine the amount of potential albums and tours they missed out on 1995-2016.
Possible albums in...
1996
2000
2004
2008
2012
2016
Not counting any potential soundtrack contributions, documentaries, etc.
They could've also become the Gen X version of The Stones 15 years earlier.
The CD saga altered all of their careers.
That would have solved a lot of problems. For starters, they don't have money issues. Axl had money issues in the mid or late 2000s. And the entire shit about the name would not have come up. And at least for Axl there is no pressure on releasing CD, maybe at some point it gets released as a GNR album (without the needless and massive tinkering) OR it just gets released as an Axl Rose solo record.
It hasn't. Other than a few songs people like hearing live, those albums exist in the 1991-92 time capsule.
I noticed last decade how the albums were dropping out of greatest albums lists and those 'best of the 90s' TV shows.
It's why I want to hear those early mixes of the albums.
Half the shit on those records should've been B sides. Imagine how many single sales they would've had if there were 2-3 new songs on each single?
Gotta give em credit though....they were ambitious as hell and swung for the fences.
I'm going to defend this a little since I've been listening to them a bit lately. While there's too much stuff on those albums, the really great tracks are really worth multiple listens and are more interesting than some of the AFD tracks which I haven't heard in years. I don't think there's enough hit singles in those albums to be honest, probably not enough hit rockers.

Let’s be honest....the people who bought Chinese were in essence Axl diehards. So, In my opinion he would have had a large following, by normal standards, had he released Chinese as a solo record. Ozzy did well with his solo guitar wizard. Axl would have done the same with Buckethead....think TWAT released as a lead off single to an Axl solo album. Pretty fucking good had the masses heard it in that context. Hard to believe a tune like that got buried before it even had a chance. When really put in context of what should have happened but what actually did, it is one of the biggest colossal fuck ups, could a shoulda woulda twists of fate in music history.
Have you ever tried telling this saga to a non GNR fan? I bet they would be shocked at how fucked up this mickey mouse operation is/was?

And it matters because McConnell (who is not loathed by Republicans, btw) and Cruz do not put themselves in these positions.
I'd say it's more party discipiline. Let's face it Cruz is HATED (have you heard former Speaker John Boemer talk about him?) The difference is generally speaking Republicans are more disciplined and tend to keep their arguments in house. Cruz toes the party line positions, even if he is a total asshat and douchebag. They tolerate with him because he is a reliable vote on most issues for them.
