I searched bill # 262 in that Thomas.gov site, didn't come up with very much related to it. The Washonton Post site listed Bidens voting record of 2008, the project was killed in 07 so it woudln't be any of those anyway.

Actually, you liberals just shot yourselves in the foot again.

Biden voted yes for the"Bridge to Nowhere".

We'll see, I just googled it & the only source is a website called "Chicago Daily Observer" which isn't even a real newspaper.

Republicans must be getting desperate if they're using blogs as sources. If Fox News reports it, I'll believe it.

So, let me get this straight, George H Bush & George W Bush are more aligned to Democratic views, while Clinton & the 90's were more along the lines of Republican views.

Great, thanks!!

Then George H Bush happened. Then George W Bush happened.

Clinton did what Reagan did only he balanced the budget, not putting everything on a credit card like the GOP always seems to do by putting the nation into debt time after time.

It works like this, Republicans give tax breaks to the wealthy. The thinking is that they then have more money, and will spend more money, putting it into the economy creating new jobs, factories, retail, advertising etc etc. The reason I believe it doesn't work, and never will, is that the weatlhy, when given a break like that, don't go out to Best Buy or the mall to blow thousands on HDTV's or new clothes. or buy a new car... and that, above almost all else, is why I don't vote Republican. On social values, I believe they are personal beliefs, not government. If I got a girl pregnant, I would not want her to have an abortion, however if she was adamant that she wanted to, I couldn't stop her. Why should Sarah Palin?? Also, if people across the country are getting abortions, that's on them, and they have to face any guilt they may have or answer to their own maker. I believe people everywhere should be able to own a gun (unless they are felons/on parole), although I don't have a problem with background checks or local munincipalities requiring permits to carry if they want. I'm all for the Death Penalty. I believe sex ed absolutely should be taught in school, if parents want their kids to sit out, they can put them in study hall. It'd be good if schools taught a Religion course, covering all religion & explaining the differences in beliefs (Christian, Judaism, Muslim Hindu etc), however we all know that will never happen. Flag Burning is  a bogus issue that only comes up every 4 years. I'm still shocked that the military actually has 'don't ask don't tell' but like flag burning, isn't an issue to me. As for gay marraige, pretty bogus issue also, but I think "Marraige" is more of a religious thing, not government anyway. So if there's a church that "marries" gays, I guess it's legit. Barack is right though, they should have certain rights (hospital visits).

Think long and hard before answering that question.

Typical Republican campaign, vote on fear. It's been going on since the 50's. Ughhhh, don't vote democrat, you'll lose a war & have a bunch of gays coming to your house to steal your guns & they'll raise your taxes too.. AhhhhH!!

Totally unfounded.

Oh yeah, trickle down economics works like gangbusters.

#5696 Re: The Garden » McCain picks Sarah Palin for Vice President » 923 weeks ago

I must live on a different planet than half this country. I see no vision, no plan, no economic idea for change with these two. McCain just wants to be President to be President. Palin was asked prematurely & jumped at the chance being totally unqualifed & unprepared. I think the charade is going to collapse with the two of them anyway, but we'll see. I swear the oil people & neocons are running this country & campaign, same old horseshit we've been thru.

#5697 Re: The Garden » What's your day job? » 923 weeks ago

I guess I never saw this thread before. I work in TV Ad Sales. Basically making sure the correct commercials come in on time & air accordingly. It's ok, been doing it 3 years but starting to get bored. Also there's been a pretty drastic reduction in the amount of advertising & clients in the last year, so it's kinda slow & boring.  I'm starting to look for something new probably more hands on/production related. We'll see.

^^That show looks pretty good.. I'll have to keep an eye out for it. There's very few shows I regularly watch. I watch TV, but just crap like Cops & Worlds Craziest Videos.

^^ Wow!! Everybody in America should be forced to watch that.

Who do you want picking up the phone...Obama or McCain?

Well considering when the invasion of Georgia first occured the Prime Minister of Georgia himself called Joe Biden(Chairman of Senate Foreign Relations Committee), I would think he'd call him again.

BTW - Biden wasn't even VP choice at the time.
