Axlin08, that's not a bad idea. I'd still like to see Ace back in the band, though.
Anyone who hasn't heard the Japanese only best of, Jigoku-Retsuden, should really seak it out. It's new recordings by the current line up. As a huge Ace fan, that can be troublesome, but the energy and production is top notch. It's exciting to hear them recording ANYTHING again. Bring on the new album!

haha Fair enough.

Why would people ever think Slash wasn't in this band anymore? He must be collecting a shitload of royalties off its marketing campaign alone.

MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee revealed during an interview with Hellena Mihailidou of Greece's Metalzone.gr that he is currently working on a new album from his METHODS OF MAYHEM project. Tommy hopes to get the CD completed by next May/June and have it released before the end of 2009.
Lee's entire interview with Metalzone.gr is available for download as an MP3 audio file at http://rapidshare.com/files/164744804/T … r.mp3.html.
Lee formed METHODS OF MAYHEM in 1999 after he left MÖTLEY CRÜE. The all-star project collaboration with rapper TiLo featured input from LIMP BIZKIT's Fred Durst, THE CRYSTAL METHOD, Kid Rock, Snoop Dogg, and Mix Master Mike. After signing to MCA, METHODS OF MAYHEM issued its self-titled debut LP in late 1999.
MÖTLEY CRÜE has revealed the dates and venues for its upcoming North American arena tour, which will begin on February 9 in San Diego and finish up on March 18 in Portland, Maine. The bill will also include HINDER, THEORY OF A DEADMAN and THE LAST VEGAS, winners of the first "Guitar Center On-Stage: Your Chance to Make Rock History" contest. Tickets for the road trip go on sale Friday (November 21) in most markets, with prices ranging from $25 to $75. This will be the CRÜE's first North American trek since this past summer's Crüe Fest package.
Many of the dates on the new tour will be in cities that Crüe Fest did not reach. Another edition of Crüe Fest is in the works for next summer.

It's just must of us have a life, and don't have the time to spend every minute looking for any trickle of GN'R info, to act like we have a 'scoop'.
(*not saying you don't have a life Von, just making a point*)
I make a living looking for trickles of info, GN'R related or otherwise
No offense taken

I confirmed BBF's being there days ago. I don't see how that surprised anyone. Jarmo doesn't have the inside scoop, it was widely reported on last week's Talking Metal.
#589 Re: Guns N' Roses » videos on the way? » 912 weeks ago
As I said in the new single thread, a major release by a major act not having a promo video is fucking pathetic. The video age never died, networks like MTV just stopped regularly airing videos. That's also because the audience for videos is so thinly spread out across so many different media outlets, that the novelty of a 24 hour video network is all but lost and it would be nearly impossible to either program a whole day based solely on videos or gain any significant ad revenue from such a move. Do I agree with MTV? No, not particularly, but there are still networks like Fuse and even VH1 Classic regularly plays new videos by "classic" bands. Just the other night they played The Day That Never Comes, Bach's (Love Is) a Bitchslap, and Def Leppard's Nine Lives. Almost every cable and satellite provider has exclusive music video channels and content. You can download videos to your iPod. As James said, things like YouTube and even MySpace have become THE destination for watching videos. There's an enormous amount of possibilities in getting a video airplay, despite what MTV may or may not be airing. Even if the thing aired only once on fucking Headbangers Ball, at least it shows this band made the effort. It's an effort I have yet to see. Someone just the other day, a casual fan who really likes the new material, said to me "Why doesn't GN'R have a video out for their new single? Aren't they proud of their album?" I said "Apparently not."
#590 Re: Guns N' Roses » BETTER: second single CONFIRMED » 912 weeks ago
That's how it's done now. Kanye West often releases several singles in the lead up to his album releases. Stronger was actually Graduation's second single. Its first, Can't Tell Me Nothing, basically announced West was coming back with a new album. It was Stronger that had the marketing attention and push and it was Stronger that blew itself and the album up to epic proportions. I expect the same approach for Better. As an aside, no matter what the post-modern "It's cooler not to have a video" audience likes to tell themselves, GN'R needs to debut a video to promote this album within the next week. Period. A major release by a major artist without a video is a fucking joke. Nobody cares if you personally watch MTV or Fuse or not, there are other avenues to distribute video content and the lack of a video is like a gaping wound in the marketing campaign for this album.
