Max Payne. I never found the original wolfenstein to be a particularly interesting game. Sure, first hugely successful 3D engine, but gameplay worth next to nothing as far as I'm concerned.

Well that won't be making MTV...

The little side-kick in twilight princess was annoying as fuck. Nearly any other Zelda (except the original) would've gotten my vote over Tetris but twilight princess just couldn't keep me interested long enough.

Add to the list of those who don't belong there: The Darkness, The Kaiser Chiefs and hell, even Avril Lavigne...

Silent Hill.
See, I don't always vote for the 80's or early 90's games

Yes, some jobs are generally better suited to either men or women. Sometimes it has to do with physical strength (the outrage around these hermaphrodite athletes is there for a reason: women athletes know they can't compete with men in some areas), sometimes it has to do with cultural acceptance, but it does make a difference.
However, this is no reason to not give someone a stab at a job just 'cause of there sex. If you're looking for someone in construction and a lady happens to fit the bill, one has got to be openminded enough to realize this.
There is one thing though that shouldn't be underestimated when the decision to hire someone is made. If you're hiring for a mission critical job that requires one to be permanently available and willing to work on odd hours. A young woman might not be such a good choice 'cause off the maternity issues that might arise. And since you're not allowed to ask whether or not she's planning on having any kids in the next couple of years (that would be a sign of discrimination, you know), you're automatically going to think twice about hiring her.
So, sadly enough, the laws that are supposed to help women gain equal footing in the job market are the very same laws that are reinforcing people's beliefs that you're safer off hiring a guy for the job.
#607 Re: Guns N' Roses » new scraped intro?? WTF is this?? » 870 weeks ago
Hah, if this is legit they fucked up by not putting this on the album. If it's not legit they fucked up 'cause a random bored kid on teh internets was able to make a better sounding intro than they did
.
PS: I don't think it's legit though. The power chord that keeps on repeating should change with the vocals, if you have access to the guitar players you wouldn't be banging out the same chord over something that's pretty obviously an actual chord progression. But nevertheless, that's good production right there.

Max Payne should not have lost to Mortal Kombat.
True. MK was a whole experience in itself, first game to use digitized images that effectively and convincingly. Milestone game that. Max Payne was just a really well executed film noir game. Unique in it's own way, but too niche to be influential.

Agreed, FF is "just another JRPG" for me. NBA Jam is the only sports game me and my friends kept coming back to (that and EA Sport's FIFA games at parties).

Argh, difficult one, I wish both of them could go on for a little while longer, but since I finished MKII and have still to finish Max Payne...
