Take off that biased Rasmussin poll & Obama's leading. That's like me showing a poll conduted by moveon.org. The latest Quinnipiac poll shows Clinton handily beats McCain something like 51-44.
Also, these polls are just popular elections. Don't take into consideration which states the support is for. No way McCain wins Ohio or Michigan. No way.

Chronic i think came out 93. Naughty By Nature came out though. You down with OPP?! House of Pain was 92 I think.

Also U2 Achtung Baby came out a few weeks after UYI. Jane's Addicition & Smashing Pumpkins also had releases I think. In general 91-93 were great years. 67-69 were probably great to live thru also.

I watched Gone Baby Gone last night. Someone at work said it was great. I didn't think it was. For Ben Affleck directing, it wasn't all that bad, but it seemed like he just got a really good cinematographer (camera work & lighting was pretty good) and musical score was well done. Aside from that, the story was pretty generic, acting not so good, and I felt his brother was mis-cast (too young for the role of a detective, which was mentioned twice in the film, almost as if it was to defend his casting to make it seem more beleivable).
Overall, a poor mans The Departed, kinda like how in the 90's a bunch of imitation Pulp Fiction & Reservoir Dogs movies came out.

^^ That's not a bad signing...
If you're on CRACK!!
j/k NYG. it's a good pickup. If Eli goes down for a few games they have a servicable backup who could lead them to .500, or better. That's what you want in a backup.

Geez, alot of hate for Catholics in this thread. Being one, I never understood the overall 'outcasting' if I may of them. Just the general stigma of being one (JFK the only Catholic priest, blah blah blah, being a catholic, although I guess the Jewish could say the same thing). Anyway, due to it being outdated on ssocial issues, and it's emphasis on forgiving, most Catholics have stopped following the word of the diocese. Sure, Catholic girls may hold out longer, but I'd be damned if I expect to find a virgin. Italians are sometimes the biggest crooks and most crooked (No offense DTJ, I'm talking about the mob & those connected. Then again, if an Italian isn't connected, he knows one who is). Anyway, it's really not like the Bible-belt down South. As for confession, I never liked that, and haven't gone in half a lifetime, probably over 20 years actually. It sucked as a kid, all we would do is say "I threw a soccer ball at my brother, I yelled at my Mom etc" and they'd tell me to say my prayers. I guess I should go again, after all the real sins took place, but I don't really beleive in it (confession), maybe one day, no time soon though. I do go to church every so often though.

Demolition Man, wow, that's a blast from the past. I like Full Monty, the scene where the guy says "No one wants to see a guy like me dance naked" and his wife says "I would" was great.
I was shocked after seeing Mean Girls also James/Gretchen, i thought it was pretty good. Up there with alot of the 80's High School movies. I saw Something About Mary a few nights ago, one of my favorite comedies. Hard to believe it's almost 10 years old already.

I have seen people at other sites say new GNR is the best band in the world. Are they joking? They must live in a bubble. Its impossible for a band with zero releases to be the best band in the world. I love the CD songs as much as anyone else, but M.I.A. shits all over this band creativity wise, and I think its sad that GNR fans wont give her(or other artists) a chance because they are waiting on one particular album.
I remember the 'Robin owns John Frusciante' arguements a few years ago. I never liked that. Robin may be a good guitarist, but as for bodies of work, how can you compare the two?! Frusciante was on Blood Sugar Sex Magic, one of the best albums of all time, in addition to Californication, Stadium Arcadium & otehrs. People are going to compare that to 3 or 4 demo songs and a tour?? Please.....
#6339 Re: The Garden » Buying a house fucking sucks!!! » 948 weeks ago
Don't worry Neemo, the house you find will be the house you wanted, so in the end I'm sure it'll work out positive.
As for the Investors, it'll probably come back to bite them in the ass. The same thing happened here in the US. People would buy a house, rent it for a year or two (or keep it vacant) then flip it & resell at a higher rate. Only problem is some probably didn't see when this housing bust would finally come, so they might have had 10 houses at the time of the bust, unable to sell them, certainly not at a higher value. As for paying a 40 yr mortgage, I look at my parents (Granted my future outlook may not be so well as the past 30 years they had) but they bought in like 1970, to them, their mortgage was probably high, but after 20 years the monthly payments were almost nothing. I don't know what they paid monthly but it was something like $30,000 for the house. So, in 20+ years your mortgage payment will not be so high, because (hopefully) you're salary will increase. Unless you live in America, where you salary will go up about 3% a year, but the value of the dollar will drop about 10% a year ;-)

Like others have said, I'll buy it the day it comes out (unless something happens in the meantime where I refuse to just out of principal). But as for giving up, I dunno, I really don't 'expect' it anytime soon or this year, so in that regard I have given up somewhat. More like 'relinquished' to the thought it might never come out. So I don't look forward to it very much. I'll buy it though, eventually. Yeah I have lost hope of it being some savoir album of Rock N Roll. That ship has sailed & isn't gonna happen.
