Wow Cowboys! Wow! Way to fucking blow that game. FIRST TIME EVER the Dallas Cowboys have blown a 14 point lead in the 4th quarter to lose(241 - 0 -1 going into tonight with a 14 point 4th quarter lead) and for anyone who watched that game you know as well as I do that they tried their fucking hardest to lose it that's for sure. New season same old shit.

im right there with ya, man.

the vikings are now 0-2.

in both games they led by 17 points.

when you have the best rb in the game you don't squander games like that.

they're total points in both second halves = 3!!!!!

I'm sorry but that's just flat out wrong.

Axl's trained his range to something very close to F♯1- G5.

Given his natural voice is a baritone, you'd expect him to be able to sing maybe F2 to F4. Although sometimes his running around messes with it, he also has very strong breath control.

There's not a lot of people around with that kind of ability, there's some, but it's actually very rare.

Ummm...you can't tell me what I've heard.  I'm telling you factually that I have heard a ton of better technical singers.  All the range in the world is irrelevant if you can't consistently hit the notes.  That is where he fails.

lol

so it's better to perform at a difficulty of 6.5  every night............

than to perform at a level that few if any can touch every once in a while

followed by mostly 8's and 9's and an occasional 6.5

?????????????????????????????????????????????????

the higher you aim the higher end up when you miss your target.

and id rather be inconsistent than consistently mediocre.

for every person you can find me that is more consistent than axl find me one that can consistently do what axl does.

i can hit free throws more consistently than anyone in the nba. on my 7 year old's 6 foot rim.

your bars have a 2 on 2 league?

bono-

i don't disagree with the logic in your assessment. just with the results.

by the way i like all of those other artists  - this is not a biased or blind position i hold.

axl doesn't show up on time because it IS all about the performance. if he could perform to the same level and show up on time he would. hes not a cookie cutter soul and his art and craft is no different. is this an inadequacy or a blessing? both.

how many artist do u know that can miss several shows, cancel tours, and show up late for 99 percent of the rest of them, and still come out with a cover band to an arena full of people 15 years after his twilight?

none

anything else is subjective.

lol!!

u said singing out of his range doesn't require more effort.

IT DOES

thats all i was responding to from you - i didnt even quote you

mailing it in once in a while is an unfortunate product of his mental instability. but when he isnt mailing it in he outperforms those three hands down.

i dont think hes the best singer ever but i dont think there is one. i think there is a small class of the greatest singers from several genres and i would definitely put him in that class.

they know hes not slash. they know they don't see slash. they know they see a bunch of people they don't recognize. this is a business and ofcourse they are gonna sell axl. followed by a bit of ashba. well done imo.

You aren't going to the right bars.  There are far, far, far better singers than Axl out there.  Axl isn't a good singer, he's a unique singer.  There's a pretty significant difference.

you and bono are the most predictable posters ever.

You haven't seen better singers at bars.

axl is sooooo good that he can sing out of his natural range, which DOES take more effort, while entertaining and selling millions.

he is known for having a unique singing voice, yes. is that supposed to subtract from his abilities?lol he sings in a unique manner to the point that nobody has come close to imitating him and his performances are epic at times and of high difficulty. that is more testament to his abilities than anything else could be. does he need to sing by some formula taught at a school in order to be considered good? that's ridiculous but if you must go there axl IS capable of singing by the book. he has a beautiful legit singing voice and has good command of it.

hes one of a kind.
he has both.

if he lowered the bar and sang in his natural range he'd be as consistent as the night is dark but hed be just another one hit wonder and possibly singing at the bars by your house.

Ive seen Chris Cornell be sublime and flat also, it happens, nature won't allow you to be 'the man' every night.

that's exactly it.

nobody could or can sing like he does any more consistently. and he does put more into his performance than an eddie vedder, for example. he has to. if axl were singing in clear baritone all night it would be different. it takes pain and commitment to sing like axl and he does more damage to his vocal chords the raspier he sings, the higher he sings, the louder he screams, the better he sounds.

look at his labored face when he's singing 90 percent of the set list.
Compare that to the opening versus of sorry for example.
that would be a walk in the park for him if his setlist was full of sorry's and evenflows lol.

look up live and let die live on youtube-

see if you can find ONE example of axl nailing the intro back in the day.
then see if you can find ONE example of axl not nailing the intro in 2010, for example.

his voice is different now, ofcourse, due to age and wear and tear.
but it is also different due to maturity and improved technique.

it amazes me how opinionated people are on axl's vocals - past and present - and yet how few clearly know a damned thing about singing.

TWAT is leaps and bounds more difficult to sing than paradise city.

axl is human but for what he has lost with age he has made up for (and then some) with improved technique and maintenance of his instrument.

he can't scream with the same power he did in the 90's but he never could've sang TIL in the 90's like he does now.

from 2002 forward he has improved his vocal strength and the consistency of his performance every tour.

IMO he's as consistent today as he has ever been.

I don't know of any singers in this genre that don't have off nights and none of them have asked their vocal chords to do what he does.
