Yeah the passage of time is a killer....and things like rotting monuments to the pop culture of your youth reminds you of your own mortality.
Same thing happens with celebrity deaths.
I also hate how time seems to move faster as you age.
I'm 45 years old....same age my mom was in the year 2000. How's that even possible?
You know how quick 20 years go by? If I make it I'll be 65, my mom and most relatives dead, and majority of celebrities from our youth dead.
In other words....we've got less than two decades left of anything resembling the world we grew up in....then it's all over. Lights go out.
If I could save time in a bottle....
It's weird and sad. Time just goes by and things seem like they just happened yesterday. Stuff like the OJ trial is closing in on the 30th anniversary and yet it seems like just yesterday to me. Trying to explain how this was a phenomenon to anyone who wasn't alive or following this is difficult. Just subtle things like that.
And yeah, Axl blew his prime by doing nothing (they all did really, except for Izzy who left on his own).

It sounds like the 25th amendment has maybe invoked and Pence is unofficially in charge.
That's the best that can happen at this point. Whatever critcisms I have of Pence, he's an adult and won't be inciting violence and all that other stuff.

GW Bush with the response that Trump should have put out. Don't agree with his policies but he understood what it meant to be president and how to act when you are it.

Do you feel happy looking at stuff like this SG? As far as Portland, etc... those pale in comparison and the fact that you're trying to deflect to that is pathethic. For starters, those were never federal or even close to overthrowing governments. Those were just protests. This is different. If you can't or won't understand it, then you are beyond help.

SG is trolling right? Yeah, Capitol Police/security deserved to be criticzed. But that's like totally ignoring the root cause of the damn thing. Which is that a certain someone incited a bunch of people and riled them up and more or less told them to do this.
Fuck off SG for supporting or blaming anyone other than Trump and his supporters.

Per people close to the White House, several official and unofficial aides are trying - without success - to get the president to issue a stronger statement. He simply won't do it. He's been furious at Pence for refusing to do something he doesn't have power to do and that's that

I'm just going to leave this here and not comment on how fucking stupid he is.

It seems like the National Guard has been deployed now and that earlier report was wrong. They got deployed after Pelosi requested it, apparntly.

We're past the point of pointing guns and bluffing. Start pulling the trigger. This is a terrorist attack. Mow down all of them in the building and start arresting those outside. It'll stop a potential second wave dead in its tracks.
This isn't acceptable under any circumstances.
Yeah, they just need to brings and artillery at this point. These people are zombies and really don't give a shit. I mean some of these clowns are climbing the building. It's sad how reality has mirrored a horror movie. There's peaceful protest and then there's this. It's definitely terroism and the defense department is dumb for turning down the request to bring in the National guard.

This is what Trump asked for...and he is never held accountable for anything...EVER.
It's time for him to be held accountable...long past time actually. I'm so tired of this shit becoming normal...and for what? So little Donnie's feelings don't get hurt?
This guy has always been the problem.
Yeah, he always has been. Hiliary basically predicted this in one of those debates. They won't do it but Trump needs to be impeached again.

It's it. Parts of the Capitol are on lockdown now. A real leader would give a speech or tweet about how this is wrong and Joe Biden has been fairly elected as the next US President and we should all come together as a nation etc...but we know that Trump won't be making that statement. More likely to come from George Bush or Colin Powell.
These people have gotten inside the building now. They need to use tear gas, force, whatever. These nuts are dangerous.
Edit: also left out that these clowns may destroy a building that's been around since 1793 and is one of the symbols of our government. Not that those people would give a shit about that.

This is sad. We should be embarrassed about this shit. Do these idiots even know what the hell they are protesting? I don't usually advocate this AT ALL. But the Capitol/DC police need to respond with force.
These idiots are protesting a LIE brought forth by a SORE LOSER. If you're any American at all, you can't condone this shit, period.
