Holy shit! Will somebody please pinch me please! Hell has frozen over yet again! A piece about Baz and no mention whatsoever about Axl. I must've missed it! Is it even possible?!

Gotcha.
Well, my main point is that you would think the label would just dump it out there.
You would think indeed. But they don't. Like I stated. I truly believe Axl when he says that it's nothing short of a miracle that we got the album. What is all the legal mess behind this? I don't know and I'm not entirely sure anyone knows completely. That is why I have given up on this album. We got it and that is all. We shouldn't expect more. Let's hope Axl empties the vaults and moves on to another record that will hopefully be less of a mess legally.

Russ. I just meant that by now you should know better that is all. Nothing concerning CD seems to work.

I'm beginning to think that Axl may be lying to his fan base.
Maybe he is and maybe he isn't. I believe Axl when he says that this was a legal mess. I really believe him. But by now he should run away from that mess cause it is beyond ridiculous.
#675 Re: Guns N' Roses » Lars Comments on "Better" Video » 903 weeks ago
He should. He could go and record another record with whoever he has in his band now. Start fresh. After the recording is done (hopefully within a year) release the record cause even Axl can't have all his records be such a mess legally by the time it is ready to be released and tour behind that record. By now nobody will ever take CD seriously. Wether it is Axl's fault or not that record although a good album will never be taken seriously. Everything seems to be a fucking legal mess about this even singles and or videos for crying out loud. Like madgas said. Release a collector's edition box set where you empty the vaults and put all the old new songs in it. And then start writing a record with Ron and whoever else is still in GNR. Cause let's face it at this point nothing can save CD. It has been botched beyond anyone's imagination. You'd have more chances to bring Lennon back to life than having something from CD that will be popular and would go on without any problems whatsoever.

I guess I should clarify that I didn't mean that because Axl said it, it would come true.
I meant that for a multitude of reasons, I don't get why it's not out. For example, if it's already made (which if Lars has seen it, then I guess it is) why wouldn't the label just release it?
That's what I meant. I wasn't implying that I didn't understand why something Axl said was looking to be untrue.
Still not better Russ. While what Axl did when he came online and chatted with the fans is still a very cool thing. This whole CD thing has been just a giant clusterfuck of a mess. Axl never quite explained why CD was so hard to release. And obviously the clusterfuck is still going on even after it is released because he says it was rushed (That one is actually extremely funny), booklet was not ready, it was a double disc and whatever else Axl has said. After 14 fucking years the release of this album was just a huge mess and will continue to be a fucking mess. And the release of the Better video just further proves this. My advice to Axl is fuck CD! While it is a good album, just forget about it. From the beginning this album was just a HUGE mess. Just release your other albums and please move on. All we want as fans is hear new music , see Axl tour and be as successful as possible. Why CD was such a mess and was so hard to release? I don't know and to be honnest at this point I don't think I care to know anymore. We heard it, it is a good record but please Axl just move away from this record and move on to your next project. This will help GNR a lot more than a fucking video of Better that by now nobody cares about.
The most amazing thing to me about this is that GNR is run like you would run a fucking garage band and I thought that Azoff would fix this but he didn't. There I just summed it all up.

Cool, good to hear.
Don't get why this hasn't surfaced yet either.
After all these years Russ and you still don't get it. *lol* I'm disappointed in you my friend.
#678 Re: Guns N' Roses » Metallica make offer to tour with Guns N' Roses » 904 weeks ago
A good idea, but won't work out. First of all, there is no Guns N' roses at the moment, only Axl Rose in his Malibu home. Second, they toured in the past and had major problems between the bands. Credit goes to Axl. Hetfield was pissed off cause GN'R was the true headliner and Metallica had to play before them. Not that GN'R would have been that bigger, but Axl's late show-ups decided the order. Hetfield & Co (minus Lars) were pissed off for Axl's god-like behaviour, too, and last, but not least, when Hetfield got burned by the pyro on a show and had to finish their set early, GN'R showed up very late and played a short (not extended, like they promised) show.
Axl wouldn't play before Metallica and Hetfield wouldn't play before Nu-GN'R, neither he'd wait 6 hours for Axl to show up and do his show. Never say never, but it will definetely not happen in the forseeable future.
That was in Montreal. Axl cut the show short during the 3rd song which was LALD.
#679 Re: Guns N' Roses » Who should be GNR's next lead guitarist? (If needed) » 904 weeks ago
CC Deville
That guy can do ANYTHING!
I like Poison for what it is but IF CC Deville ever joins GNR or Axl that is the day I will officially stop being a fan.

Nothing can stop U2. Bono himself couldn't sabotage its release even if he wanted to.
Yeah, you're probably right. But sales are down all across the board, it isn't just with GNR. Maybe U2 will be immune to the doomed economy, we'll see I guess.
I think the thing with U2 is they have a have fanbase that buy everything and everything the band releases. Myself included. It'll be interesting to see if the economy impacts them this time around. I'm sure it will when it comes to the casual fan but I really feel U2 has such a large fanbase who want to have that hardcopy of the abum that initial sales in week one should still be anywhere between 700 000 - 900 000 copies. I really don't think there is another band out there today who has that built in fanbase. U2 may not hae the biggest casual fabase the way AC/DC does(I could be wrong) but I do believe they have the biggest hardcore fan base. Then you add in their pention for releasing catchy first singles which actually appeal to the MTV crowd of today and their ability to promote better than anyone and it all equals out to very impressive album sales regardless of economic times. We're gonna find out though that's for sure. Their album is coming out March 2nd in Europe and March 3rd in North America and times will be even tougher than they were in November. I think this release is gonna be a real tell tale sign of where we're at in the world of music as far as what kind of impact the economy is having on album sales. That or as James put it it's just gonna show that U2 is the exeption to the rule.
gnfnraxl wrote:Just remember D that 2 million albums nowadays is probably the equivalent of 6-8 million worldwide from back in the 90's. Sad fact, people don't buy music anymore, they download it and on torrent sites. So to me CD is not a complete failure. Maybe GNR fans are more downloading motherfuckers than AC DC's fans. *lol*
gnfnraxl does this mean if U2 sells 5 million I can challk it up to actually 20 million?
Just kidding man.
Yeah, And I'm not kidding. If U2's album sells 6-8 millions nowadays then it would at least do 20 millions back in the 90's.
