I believe Ron will have re-recorded most of Robin's parts and done some new rhythm work, too. Fortus is basically a live player only. This is going to be a Bucket/Bumble disc. No matter what the haters claim to hear, Buckethead owns the material we've heard so far. Will he return to GN'R? Maybe that's what the hold up is on the "official" press release. Robin ain't coming back, I can pretty much guarantee you that.

Excellent thread. Well done, sir.

Well, it seems to have something in common with songs like Riad (the "official" new spelling). I wouldn't necessarily call it a rocker though, not from what we can hear. By the way, the title of this thread should be changed to Official Best Buy Promos or some such. These are confirmed.

I'd have preferred a better font for the add itself. Also, they're a little repetitive, but I guess what effective ad isn't? Well, can't look a gift horse in the mouth. This is going to be a very good day.

Last CD I bought was Slipknot's All Hope Is Gone. Last actual music purchase, being vinyl, was a pre-order of Cradle of Filth's excellent (yes, I'm a downloading motherfucker, too) Godspeed on the Devil's Thunder.

I'm sorry, I just don't agree. I really love that song very, very much.

I think the "weak" songs on AFD are amongst its best. I think the Illusions, tonally, make for a better comparison to the CD material. But comparing old and new is nearly impossible. For me, there are certainly CD songs that rank up there with the best from the past. Some as good. Some better. You're basically putting up unreleased, over-analyzed material against a catalogue of highly regarded "standards." What do you think this thread is going to turn into? TWAT and Prostitute are some of Axl's finest moments, lyrically or otherwise. I fail to see the cheese factor some others do. Not calling you out, I just don't see it.
