I would not mind if we get some new GN’R songs from Artificial Intelligence.

Say whatever you will about the cash grab of GN'R these days, but I'm glad Axl & Slash are no longer at each other's throats like this. The Pink Floyd guys are way too old to be acting like this. Life is too short. Be appreciative of the great music you created together so many decades ago.

Other than health issues, what I hate most about getting older is how much faster time passes. A year passes like a month used to.

In another 14 years I'll be 61....or dead.

Either option is frightening to contemplate.

You're about 10 years ahead of me on that path, but I'm feeling it myself. I don't think death scares me. I'm more afraid of something like a stroke that makes me disabled where someone else has to take care of me. That's a bad existence!

It goes way too fast. I was in college when the leaks happened in 2006. Hard to believe that was 16 years ago. We are quickly approaching the point where the gap between Use Your Illusion and Chinese Democracy (17 years) will be a smaller gap of time than the gap between Chinese Democracy and our current year...only 4 more years. Pretty wild to think about that, considering all the drama and mystery that was happening from 1998 to 2008. Not a damn thing has happened in the last 14 years other than the reunion, but it feels like the time has gone a lot faster.

Man, it was always cool to hear Axl talk to the crowd. Even when he was full of shit about various subjects, you cannot deny that the guy had insane charisma on the stage.

It's hard to believe this 1991 Ritz concert sat in the vault for 30 years. They need to release as much high quality footage as possible. Use some fancy computer technology to upgrade the footage of 1987 Ritz, 1988 Ritz, 1992 Chicago, 1992 Paris, 1991 Indiana, 1991 Rock in Rio, and others.

Speaking of alternate reality, imagine a scenario where the “Big 3” songs from Appetite fail to reach the Billboard Hot 100. Other than Tom Zutaut & Axl Rose, I don’t think anyone believed the band would become so insanely popular…especially with only 1 album.

So imagine a world where Appetite is not super popular from 1988 to 1995 and beyond. Their instant success helped destroy the band. Perhaps we would have gotten a lot more albums from them. Izzy never wanted to be in a band that sells out stadiums & large basketball arenas. He was happy with the band in the early days playing small capacity music clubs.

Less money & success would have kept Axl & Slash more humble, to avoid the ego problems of the Illusion era. Of course we are talking about a band that could have easily never recorded a single album, given Slash/Izzy/Adler drug problems and Axl’s mental problems.

Ultra raspy Axl is a million times better than Helium Axl.

Torrents and other download sites are garbage now.  Only the most popular movies or albums/songs will have a decent amount of seeders...and only briefly. Once something drops from the top of the list, the seeders vanish.

I'm impressed & surprised by the amount of Torrent activity on the new version of the Illusion albums.

Axl has said before that they saved his life....and it's probably not hyperbole. I remember after Cornell killed himself and it came out he was alone, I thought of the Axl/TB dynamic and how if Axl is out on the ledge, he has that support system in place to prevent tragedy. If Cornell had his own version of TB, is he still alive?

While I do criticize some of their management decisions, I think they get a bit too much hate directed at them. He obviously values them for some reason even if us fans can't see it.

Definitely seems like Team Brazil deserves credit for helping Axl become a happier person. They found the right medication and whatever else to keep him from going off the rails like he did in his prime years. They've managed to get him showing up on time for gigs the last 6 years as well. Like you said, at bare minimum they prevented him from the suicide problem we've seen with other celebrities. I know people aren't happy that the reunion has failed to deliver any legit new material, but at least the Axl & Slash feud is over.

Only thing I'm going to say about this show is that it made me notice the recent trend of hiring ugly people for movie roles. Part of the "inclusiveness" no doubt.

It's like they forgot that movies are supposed to be an escape from reality, not a fucking reminder!

Makes sense to have ugly actors when the Targaryen family has centuries of incest. Dany in the original show was probably a lot prettier than she should have been, given the insane amount of incest in her family all the way up to her birth.
