?  Which discussion, the thread or racism?

I just try not to post here much more anymore. So wasn't really looking to get involved in a whole new thread on a topic, that'll probably still be around long after we pass.

I mean, most if not all of the recent events & videos have been straight up murder. Period. Is there a larger problem among race? Sure, it really never was level tho since seperate but equal. A friend of mine posted how he's worked for all he's gotten (he's got a cush/non-working gov't job that he says literally he does almost nothing all day) and deserves it #nowhiteprivelege.  Best part about it??  His uncle hooked him up with the job.  So, being mid-40s, most black people didn't have an 'uncle' who could hook them up with a nice gov't job because when those 'Uncles' were trying to find work in the late 60s/70s few were hiring black people.

Things like that, I don't wanna start a whole debate on it. If that's what you want go ahead, I just think it won't solve much. Are racists out there?  Of course. Are blacks facing an uphill battle their whole life?  I think so. That doesn't mean no white people are, but I'd say the proportion of blacks who are (I dunno, 80-90%) is higher than the percentage of whites who do (30-50%)?? Guessing, but you get my drift.

Don't get me wrong, some liberal stances on various topics are too much. I find it interesting they're soo fascinated about statues yet they don't see institutional racism right in front of them in 'Legalized Marijuana' and the way it's been rolled out. After decades of 'Don't smoke marijuana, it's bad for you'  suddenly now its  'Ok, we've reversed course. You can smoke marijuana, but only if you buy it from these millionaires who paid to have licenses to profit from you, and not from Tyrone over there.... cause that's still illegal."

Russia’s at it again.

They totally are. Be careful tho, they create pages on both sides, so some 'pro-liberal' pages are just Russians in disguise to stir the pot & divide.

Yeah, the NY AG is huge. Trumps not even trying anymore, they're just covering their tracks & going to pardon everybody. It's huge what they must be covering up, from Comey, to Flynn, to Stone, throw in Cohen. Something was brewing, they did it the day of his rally, before Fathers Day & the timing of Boltons book. Pure coverup being done.

Does anyone still believe Trump is going to win?   I'm not sure I'd put 100% certainty he ends up on the ticket or is even trying by the end of this.

Interesting, I didn't realize they were at their 'most profitable' in recent years. I'd guess it was just a mix of right time/right place, and riding the coattails of previous fame & TV contracts.

For instance, cable TV is fading away, yet TV channels LOVE live tv, because it means higher ratings versus content like dramas people are willing to watch on demand on Hulu etc. So TV channels overpaid WWE, yet Vince could ask that amount, due to past glory of people like Cena & Lesnar who are no longer around, so the new crop of stars get paid less too. Plus with the great economy, Vince charged a premium to TV channels, paid low salaries, and TV channels paid high amounts in a good economy for live TV with a (past) following. Kinda like signing an aging athlete in the final years of his career. you'll overpay.

I don't watch it, really haven't since 2000ish, but I think you're right its too fake & scripted. Previously you just had guys create characters in their bedroom and the 'script' was likely devised among the two of them at the bar. 80s WWF, WCW/NWO concept. It was just Hall & Nash ad libing it, but it was great. Now its too cheesy, like a Vegas produced circus no one is interested in the characters anymore. Too overdone.

Ashame about XFL tho, I was curious about its potential & gave it an honest watch once or twice. They did do some things better, kickoffs were a far better idea, and the 1, 2 or 3 point conversion probably should be ocnsidered by the NFL.

^^ I would guess Monday Night Raw kinda made that happen?  Thru the 90s-2000s.

I saw a tweet about $500 billion. I assumed it was all businesses combined or something. Did not know they werent saying who ut was. I cant imagine any 1 company is getting that much.

I dunno, some BTTF clips leaked on youtube a few years ago, and i gotta say, he wasnt a fit. He just looked shell shocked or outta place. He almost ruined Pulp Fiction. He maybe was good in the overdose scene but definitely wasnt believable in my mind as a heroin dealer. Sometimes tho Tarantino intentionally miscasts people tho it seems, so myb it was that.

He's probably a good actor for the right part, but those two werent it.

Yeah. Its ashame they didnt get much of a chance in 91/92. I recall Mr Big being the last glam band with a hit song being played on MTV around October 91. Then that was it.

Jayne was a great song, minor hit. Geez, Black Crowes had perfect timing, a year before grunge yet the public was still starved for a guns followup.

I mean, LA Guns was pretty big, but really coulda used a boost from a monster album or song or two.

Uncut Gems was ok. My brother really liked it, I guess I thought it'd be better.  Last year wasn't a great year for Movie Of The Year contenders, although most of us seemed like pretty big Tarantino fans, he delivered.

It's sad but I've lost a bit of respect for him. He insisted on owning the band and then he did nothing with it. He's wasted a lot of people's time and creativity. He's wasted a lot of people's money on an aimlessness that has amounted to a 1992 Use Your Illusion remake tour.

I agree with this, although, I lost alot of respect prior to CD. Like 2004/2005 is when it was over imho. Eventually it was released, it was ok, nothing groundbreaking, too many revolving doors of a bandmates. Thanks guys, I'll put the CD up here on my bookshelf & it brought some good memories.

I think Slash & Duff originally had hopes of an album, and they probably did work on it, then when Axl kept being Axls old self, they didn't get too emotional or invested into it, and realized its just a tour & a cash grab, take it for what it is. I think they'd love to have something released, they're just not gonna get caught up in his game again & moved on in regards to new material (solo stuff etc)
