Tom Price resigns as Trump administration health chief after outrage over private jet flights
Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price resigned Friday after criticism over his repeatedly taking expensive private jets instead of commercial flights.
Price's private travel, added to his use of military jets for overseas trips, has cost taxpayers more than $1 million.
Price said he will reimburse the government just a fraction of the cost of the flights.

Tom Price, secretary of the U.S. Health and Human Services Department, resigned Friday amid a furor over his taking more than two dozen costly private plane trips instead of less-expensive commercial flights.
The White House in a statement said that President Donald Trump intends to tap a top HHS official, Don Wright, to serve as acting secretary of the department. Wright currently serves as deputy assistant secretary for health and director of the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion.
"Secretary of Health and Human Services Thomas Price offered his resignation earlier today and the President accepted," the White House said, about an hour after Trump said he would decide by Friday night whether to fire Price.
Price's resignation came a day after he said he would reimburse taxpayers for just a small fraction of the cost of his flights, and after he vowed to not use charter planes in the future.
A longtime critic of wasteful federal spending and the administration's putative point man on attacking Obamacare, Price had taken 26 flights on charter plans since May, according to a Politico investigation.
In a letter addressed to Trump, Price said he was tendering his resignation in order to allow the administration "to move forward without further disruption."

I’m not condoning it. But let’s not pretend this is anything of the scale Clinton did.
So many important questions only you care about the answers to....let's split hairs to the point no one knows what the fuck anyone is talking about anymore
Another attempt to veer off topic by you-know-who. Hillary wasn't charged for the email fiasco. Just as she wasn't incriminated after numerous Benghazi hearings. The point is that Trump's administration is using private email to conduct White House business. Something Trump said she should be "locked up" for. Think his peeps care?
In the meantime, Trump is continuing to escalate tension with NK, all while picking a fight with the NFL via Twitter. Black Americans, as usual, aren't allowed to protest anything in this country. Even the act of kneeling silently as a means to voice your displeasure is seen as a disrespectful act according to Trump and his basket of deplorables.

Looks like McCain killed Trumpcare again. I say let them try again. Each time they do, they are exposed for how incompetent they are. They'd only need to get 1 or 2 Democrats on board a plan that is a little more sensible, and it would pass. But they don't want to do that.
That and every medical group came out against it. Hell, even insurance companies oppose it.

Pelosi spent 100k on booze and wasted hundreds of thousands on air force jets to carry her and her husband around:

Trump isn't going anywhere.
His base is now apoplectic, and he has historical low approval ratings. Recent interviews with people who voted for Trump (not those who ID as right wing voters) are very disappointed in him. He's also slowly sinking under the weight of this Russian investigation (if you like to admit it or not.) Completing his term would be a miracle. Getting elected for a second term isn't even realistic.
This discussion about the Dems is odd. The GOP is in control, and aren't accomplishing anything right now. They are completely dysfunctional.
Perhaps that's why Trump decided to extend an Olive Branch to the left side of the aisle? Maybe there is some part of him that is frustrated with the Republicans and would actually like to get things done other than Tweeting all day. But with him I really have no idea. Maybe he just wanted to troll the righties whom he felt weren't being nice to him?

Bernie has no way to pay for his plan outside jacking up everyone's taxes.
It's not as if it's going to happen anyway.

He just decimated what was left of his base last night. They are defcon 1 over at Breitbart.
If Dems keep going left there's going to be no one for the middle to vote for but Trump. A fake republican moron who wants to be loved or a real radical who wants to run an experiment on our healthcare and economy. If the economy is still good in three years I don't see him losing to a leftist.
I was rooting for Kamala until she sided with Bernie. If she goes back to the center I'll change my mind, but that doesn't look like the direction she's going... Like Pasnow said, see Hillary's strategy.
I think you're overreacting to Bernie's latest pitch. It's unlikely to pick up traction, although I think it's a good idea.
I doubt the economy will be like this by election time. We're way over due for a recession. I also don't believe Trump will be in office in 3 years, much less be running for office again. The Russian investigation isn't some Benghazi non-sense...
