Ditto - he should have been short and sweet.  STFU

Adler "I play drums and cowbell" lol

He actually wasn't cringe worthy tho.

A riot in St Louis. But I love that short show. They all were high on different drugs, it was their sloppiest day in the UYI times, but for me... it's Guns N' Roses, too.

Two of my favourites from that gig:

Agree that Perfect Crime performance was awesome. The energy and pure venom as Axl spits the lyrics out. It's like he was so wired and so pissed off about something right before he took the stage and it just reflected in his performance.

Im not sure who else they could get to do vocals on a couple of songs (if that's what they intend to do) at such short notice.  If they decided not to sing themselves (i.e. Duff etc), then who else would they get?

Any other singer that they probably could get I would imagine would want more than 3 days to practice.  Also I don't think they exactly want an Axl impersonator, ie someone trying to sign it exactly the way Axl does and make it sound like him.  Myles will probably get a world of hate from hardcore Axl fans because he doesn't sound as good as Axl or sound like Axl.  Well I don't believe he tries to be Axl.

That said my preference would be if he wasn't involved with it.  My problem is I can't come up with a better solution if I was them at such short notice.

That's what makes Izzy's no-show such a disappointment. If he went, they would have enough material in the GN'R vault for him and Duff to sing it themselves. 14 Years, Dust N' Bones, Double Talking Jive, It's So Easy, Patience, etc.

Plenty of good material that they could pull off without Axl or a nasally singer like Myles.

Yeah it's a shit effort from Izzy, he could of given them the optin to do what you have suggested and save the night somewhat.

Pretty much mate you can see 2 tvs

That's lame, why not have a direct stream or even zoom in on the TV screen as a shitty alternative.

Izzy probably won't show.   Slash will probably perform with Miles Kennedy who is going to Cleveland.

I really hope it doesn't turn into a quasi Slash solo show. The induction is about the collective not just one individual.

Sorry if ths has already been posted, I have lost track of what's in this thread:

Axl told Roger Friedman in January he wouldnt attend the HOF

Axl Rose, the leader and founder of Guns n Roses, told me in January that he wouldn’t go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. I didn’t believe him. He told me he hated Slash, the famed guitarist who co founded the band with him, and refused to attend. He told me, everyone who would listen, including Steven Tyler. We were at a pre-Golden Globe party. I’d never met Axl before. He was accessible and fun. But he was obsessed with Slash, claimed that he’d interfered with Axl’s creativity and taken control of the band.
