Triumph? Are they doing any Canadian dates? I wouldn't mind seeing them. Good old Canadian rock at its best.

I've never posted in this thread.
Bob Dylan:
Like a Rolling Stone
Positively 4th Street
Hurricane
Maggie's Farm
Subterranean Homesick Blues
All Along the Watchtower
Stuck Inside of Mobile With the Memphis Blues Again
I Shall Be Released
It Ain't Me Babe
Tangled Up in Blue
That was hard to narrow down to 10.

Journey last played together in 88. It would be a shock if Steve Perry were back in the band, so that would fit.
I thought about that, but didn't Perry rejoin them in 1995?

The Cars haven't performed with Ric Ocasek since '88 though, so it's a possibility. Unless Roger Hodgson is rejoining Supertramp.
I'm starting to think the band they refer to isn't even famous. It could just be a local Swedish band, really.
EDIT: How about The Smiths? I know Morrissey always said no, but check this out from the wikipedia (I know, shitty source, but better than nothing.):
In August 2007 it was reported Morrissey had turned down a near £40 million offer to reunite with Johnny Marr for a 50-date world tour in 2008 and 2009. The condition would only be that Morrissey would have to play the dates with Marr, meaning the deal could have gone ahead without Mike Joyce and Andy Rourke's participation.[18]
According to an anonymous press release on true-to-you.net, an unofficial fan site tacitly supported by Morrissey, Morrissey was approached in summer 2007 by a "consortium of promoters" with a $75 million offer to tour during the next two years. The offer required Morrissey to make a minimum of fifty worldwide performances with Johnny Marr, under the Smiths' name. true-to-you.net reported that the offer had been refused.[19] Other reports say that the whole $75 million tour was a hoax.[20]
In an October 2007 interview on BBC Radio Five Live, Johnny Marr hinted at a potential reformation in the future, saying that "stranger things have happened so, you know, who knows?" Marr went on to say that "It's no biggy. Maybe we will in 10 or 15 years' time when we all need to for whatever reasons, but right now Morrissey is doing his thing and I'm doing mine, so that's the answer really." This is the first potential indication of a Smiths reunion from Marr, who previously has stated that reforming the band would be a bad idea.

I only saw the first two. Did it seem to anyone else like it was fixed?
If it is fixed, it must be true to the original.

The Cars broke up in 1988. Maybe they'll play with a replacement for Orr?
#767 Re: The Garden » Is Higher Education A Good Idea? » 921 weeks ago
I'm in university. It was a good choice for me, but it isn't for everyone. Here in Canada, there are only a few undergrad degrees that can get you a job. Luckily, I pursued one of those. A lot of people are stuck doing degrees that they'll never be able to use, unless they continue into Grad school or decide to teach. Nowadays, trade schools and colleges are educating the most employable people. People with pipe-fitting, construction, plumbing, and instrumentation certifications are better off in the end. They tend not to owe as much money when they're done school and they get higher wages because they're in demand.
Unless you're doing some form of business, engineering, pharmacy, or nursing as an undergrad degree in university, you really don't have much choice but to continue education here (whether through grad, law, or med school).

While some of this looks pretty bad, at least these politicians aren't conducting mass genocide and torturing innocent people. We need to take this kind of thing into perspective.

I too believe that the label has the album. At least they haven't rejected it and sent Axl back to square one again. Once a campaign gets straightened out, we can probably expect some sort of announcement. Just wondering, you guys who used to contact people at Universal. Would you be able to see what the contacts are saying now? Just to see if they'll say anything. Maybe we can get an unofficial timeline or get the scoop on this.
If it's likely that the album is with the label, this is the closest we've been to having the album with us. If it's not released this year, we can at least expect a leak. No way this is out of Axl's hand for a year before it ends up online.

4 paparazzi arrested for chasing Britney
Los Angeles police Lt. Mario Munoz said officers observed several cars following a white Mercedes-Benz around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in Mission Hills.
The cars were following Spears' car too closely and traveling at unsafe speed. They also made several unsafe lane changes, authorities said.
Munoz said officers stopped the Mercedes, interviewed Spears and released the 26-year-old pop star after verifying her driver's license.
But the four photographers in the cars chasing her were booked for investigation of reckless driving.
isnt this how Princess Diana died?
You think the Queen is out to kill Britney too?
