When other posters criticize Axl's lame-ass performances it's all good for you. He sucks live, cause he doesn't give a shit and the live shows are his rehearsals. Fact. Well, I'd prefer a stronger 13-song album with an additional disc of 4 weaker songs. But you're right, 17 songs are enough, maybe more than enough.

Would never happen. It would be easier being a touring band and that's an impossibility. Axl would veto about 99% of everything Slash would pitch and Slash would tank the other 1%. Nothing would ever get done. Putting Axl in a situation where he's in a studio trying to come up with new music, especially with people who would tell him no, and a guy who he really has nothing musically in common with anymore, is a really, really bad idea.
It's a good post and I'd have agreed 100% - 5 years ago. But as it seems GN'R went back to the 80s-90s style. Look at the Vegas shows, their tours, their clothes - it's all AFD era. Their "new" covers could have been played by the old band. Also, DJ and Fortus said that if they were to write new stuff today, it would be sleaze. So I guess musical differences may not be such a factor to block or ruin a reunion. All the other things you mentioned in your other post, would kill it, for sure.

Amazing artwork! The best since Slash gone solo, but also better than any GN'R-related cover since Lies. My only complain would be the oversimpsoning - the artist, Ron English could have used more figures from different comics.
I also like it because it reminds of the covers of Terry Pratchett's books: crowded, colourful and trippy. I guess Josh Kirby could be a Ron English influence.
