#851 Re: Guns N' Roses » On Truth, The Man Who Wasn't There and Happy Endings » 754 weeks ago

I've came to a realisation about how I feel about Axl and the current state of GN'R. I thought I was completely done with it. That's not true, there are two things that will get me back behind Axl.

1. He finds a way to make peace with the members of the old band. Am not asking or expecting a reunion just some sort of acknowledgement that he can let by gones be by gones and make a public appearance with Slash. Not even to perform.

However that probably won't happen so...

2. He comes out on these next shows like a man possessed. He cracks out a new song or two and plays the best performance he can. He busts out Double Talkin Jive and does stupid shit like rant on Slash and if he really still has a problem with the guy then just let shit fly and go off the wall. Call him a parasite, cancer, whatever. Shit on the hall of fame, and just rant his ass off. If he wants to be the most hated man in rock n roll then amp it up to ten and just make every show spit venomous agression in the direction of those he's pissed off at. I'll disagree with him, I'll think he's being a immature asshole, but damn it I will at least back him.

...however that probably won't happen either so I'm probably done.

I haven't seen the new lineup yet, have wanted to for a few years but at this stage I can't be bothered shelling out the cash for it. Nothing about this version of GN'R seems worth it. I'm pretty much done.

This day just makes me feel kind of sad about being a GN'R fan in all honesty.

I can't hear a thing on that stream. Audio is too quiet.

Okay, what's the verdict on Left 4 Dead?

I want a game that I can kill zombies. I heard RE: Operation Raccoon City blows.

Left 4 Dead is a GREAT game for killing zombies. It pretty much is just mow down endless streams of zombies and get from point a to point b. Great fun.

Dead Rising 2 is good as well it's bit more free roaming and less level based.

With the GAME stores closing down, I can't don't where I'm supposed to buy PC games in Northern Ireland.

PC World/Curry doesn't really sell that much, HMV in Belfast has like 1 stack at the back store with like 8 different games now. The remaining Game next door in Belfast isn't much better.

Actually pretty pissed, I'm a Warcraft subscriber too. Can't buy Time Cards sad. It is possible to purchase the last expansion, but can't buy time to play it. No idea where else to shop in this country.

Buy online? Surely Amazon has you covered.

I don't think they can do anything about the title belt or the PG rating until about 2015 because of some deal with Mattel for toys and other merch. Was in some HHH interview last year that I remember reading.

Agreed about the Punk finisher thing. I like it but it's not flashy and it's not quick and if the guy wants to be a WWE star he's going to need one. He's at least got the Anaconda Vise as a submission finisher which is fine imo, but he needs something better than the Go 2 Sleep.

WWE are basically in the tricky situation of needing to build stars without devaluing there current two. Orton, as much as he bores me, has been away from the title long enough now that it could be time for him to get involved with it again. If Orton were to get another title reign it would be great for a young guy to be the one to end it.

As for Rock/Cena -- I didn't think the match was as bad as some here are saying. "Cena Sucks" as always, but Rock's "still got it". I did see a bit of rust, but like riding a bicycle, Rock seemed to get it back fairly quickly

The sad shame is... Rock is still THE MOST talented guy in that locker room when you think about it. Kind of a comment on the state of the WWE.

The thing to also remember is with the lack of years in the ring, Rock's age, working with Cena... he still embarassed Cena. YET at the exact same time, a match that was intended to put over Cena, ended up using Cena to job and put over Rock. Ironic.

Brock Lesnar IS NOT GONNA SAVE THE WWE. He's "White Lashley" with more heat. That's it.

Lashley was "Black Lesnar" 16

I personally feel Cena outperformed Rock in the main event. I mean hell I like Rocky more but he was not in ring shape (and I don't mean ring rust). He was out of breath by the time he got to the ring. Although, I still enjoyed the match personally.

I agree with you, there needs to be booking with long term planning. They need to make stars out of these guys and fast. That means more clean wins over Cena and Orton (protect Punk for a little longer to solidify his push) for the younger talent. If they have Lesnar tear through the younger guys and make them look like shit that is short-sighted bonehead booking.

Sheamus got booed and there were Daniel Bryan/Yes chants throughout the entire night and in the dark match. Hopefully they get the message that the WHC being decided in 18 seconds is bullshit!
