Are there any current standouts?
Maybe in other genres...but I can't remember the last time I found a new rock act that was any good....I think it was buckcherry...and prior to that BLS...

My problem with St Anger is the song structures...every song is too long and goes no where. they have the occasional cool riff, or ok hook...but then it just never develops into a structured working song. It sounds like a tapped jam session where like you'd take some of those jam ideas and make them into a workable song latter!
But I think the new album will rock.

Can someone clear this up for me...so according to the interent the moon landings are fake, and the guy they faked em with also knows they are hiding aliens? that's starting to get confusing for me
Jokes aside, this is a pretty important guy to be claiming this though, he isn't some crackpot.

From the myspace version i think its killer...the outro solo kicks ass.

I agree they have made some bad decisions. But to be honest i think this kind of article is just justifying downloading by saying it isn't the problem. But realisticly...if technology were still as it was in 1989 - the entire record industy would be exactly as well off as it was in 1989. There isn't any doubt in my mind of this.

I dunno i think unforgiven 2 was named that because they were writing it then realised the riffs where ripping off their own unforgiven riff...so maybe its just that its a similar rif structure again or someghing.
I'm the only one...but i liked Devil's Dance, The Memory remains and fuel from re-load
Anyway...i think this potential to be a good album for sure. Or it could turn into St Anger. But it seems they want to move away from that kind of thing.
#8888 Re: Guns N' Roses » GNR, Rock Band, the VMAs and 4 albums » 929 weeks ago
It's probably a load of shit what he says, but I dont question that HE believed what he said.
Totally agree. He prob just has friends that go to the board. You know like immagine this dude is my friend, i've just been spending my day in the usual way ranting about crap in our "will the VMA's have axl again" thread or reading one of Baz's interviews where he goes on about how axl has 3 cds and its good stuff. So I meet up with him one night and he tells me he is working on rockstar with Shackler's Revenge. I'd go crazy, and we'd talk GNR and i'd regurgitate about half the threads I read that day. Then someone comes and interviews him, he says "I heard it was going to be VMAs etc" - just means he spoke to me
Obviously this didn't happen...but i'm showing how easily the guy could be telling the truth but actually not know anything else than we do. (except as related to Shackler)

Agreed. And he also says he is "developing" the instrumentation thing...sounds very unfinished. Still i'll check this out when it happens

Sounds like a BS lawsuit....why would she make a profit share agreement as an oral contract and not make a codified written agreeement. Pretty unusual for high end music business.
