Sorry to beat a dead horse, god knows there's so much new music to talk about, but that Razz clip was mid 2006?
I think it was April-May 2006. Not very long after the CITR leak.
Hard to believe it's going on 18 years since those leaks. That's frightening.
So much wasted time now that we've heard the Village sessions and know what was basically finished by 2001. Those leaks and the mercurial nature of the hardcores are the only reason the album didn't sell 28k it's first week. Despite the band's talking points memo, the leaks kept what little interest was there burning for all that wasted time.

Replacing it with a live track seems par for the course with this regime. An effortless lyric video would have sufficed but, this band hates it's hardcore fanbase. That is an undeniable fact at this point.

At this point I'd be more excited to see old posters come back than hearing the shit storm that would be a new gnr album. And for the record I doubt we ever see a proper album. Maybe one more song. Stars align maybe 2 but thats it.
^ This. I really don't think we're getting anything else. I didn't think I could get let down again, but here we are same bat time, same bat channel.

He's been posting here for months lol
Welcome Brasky! Big fan of your "stuff you didn't know" thread. Love the wrestling and sopranos references. Cheers.

Yeah, I've noticed a lot of the ancients coming out of the woodwork. I wonder what ever happened to kingoffspring?

Now that's an interesting development.
It rules out the possibility of them pulling it at the last minute.
Interesting songwriting credits too.

I am wondering if The General and Soul Monster have been merged into one song.
My anticipation has kicked back in. I was already losing interest in it.
Business as usual for a GN'R fan. Quite the rollercoaster ride these last 30 years.

Likewise, I take the point that VR was trying very hard not to be an 80s band too - even though I love VR for what it was.
The irony is, Contraband was exactly the album that GN'R should've made in the 00's. If they'd taken those tracks, with that production, and mashed it up with the best of Axl's Chinese Democracy efforts (TWAT, IRS, CD etc), and released it at that time, we'd have had the comeback of the century.
If I dropped my three least favorite CD album songs and replaced them with slither, set me free, and fall to pieces, then I would have easily one of the best albums of the 00's.

Don’t worry, guys, Team Brazil has everything well in hand
Right? I'm sure the delay is just so the vinyl and the magic 8 ball collector's edition die-cast truck can drop at the same time.
The chimps probably could have gotten us the 92 TIL with Thyme intro.
