Pretty sure she had a band called The Licks, right?

Her in a  band now sounds familiar, didn't know she stuck with it, thought it was a 90s thing. She isn't terrible.

Goff is not good though.

He's not terrible. I mean, is 31/32 year old Stafford even worth 2 1st rd picks at this point in his career?  Let alone two 1st rounders AND Goff?!

Detroit could do some major damage in the draft if they have their own picks too (not sure if they do).  2 first rounders this year, OL, WR & D in the 2nd rd, next year DL, LB and OL in 2nd round. Or something like that.

1. Calling it Guns N' Roses - he should have called it what it was - a solo album or give the band another name. Chinese Democracy as a band name could've worked. No one wanted a Slash-less GN'R. Fact.

This probably doesn't get mentioned enough anymore, but yeah its a pretty solid point. Especially once BH left, things fell apart. Even the 02 tour collapse, should've ditched GnR at that point, bc 'supergroups' were becoming a thing (VR, Audioslave etc). Calling it Chinese Democracy or something probably would've been the thing to do. Really would've been best from the 90s OMG years.

That trade still doesn't make any sense to me!

Goff is ok, not a total bust or terrible. I would think him straight up for Stafford is a deal, although, I think Goffs contract has some cap hit issues another team wouldn't want to take on, he almost needs to be the starter for 2-3 years. So they needed to add on some picks for the Lions to take him on. But 2 first rd picks??

Could become an awful trade for the Rams. Seems they almost did it out of spite to ship him to Detroit. Which, if he was a total headcase I could see, myb I don't follow them enough but I don't think he is.

Is this a lawyer working on a court case? Somebody murdered the day the video came out but nobody could pinpoint the exact day to put the murderer at the scene?

Pretty funny, they probably are and are thinking 'Man, what a bunch of nerds & losers on that site 16 Get a grip folks!  Guns N roses?? About as outdated as message board forums 22 "

j/k.  Yeah did you ever hear the story of the guy who was at a Dodgers game during a Curb Your Enthusiasm scene being filmed? Its crazy, apparently he was a bit rough around the edges, and like his ex-fiancee was killed. So he became a suspect, and he was just like I didn't do it, but all roads pointed to him. Gets charged, trial set etc. His alibi was just 'I hung out with friends that weekend'. Anyway while prepping for trial his lawyers are asking him about everything. I think a friend got the ticket thru a friend or something, so there was no paper trail, no security cameras back then etc (2005?). So lastly, he says 'Oh yeah, they were filming like a movie that day?"

So the lawyer calls the Dodgers to ask like was there a film on June 10th being shot, and they checked their records and it was, HBO. So he contacts the show, and asks for all the spare footage. So theres a ton of wide shots, scenes of entire sections of fans cheering etc, and yeah, very tiny but in there and this guy & his 2 or 3 friends. Crazy, but it likely saved him from 10-20 years.

I always thought that Don’t Cry came out months before UYI. But I guess even back when they were actively working, there were still delays.

I have a question for anyone here that was a fan of the AFD harder sound, what was your initial reaction to them releasing Don’t Cry as a lead single for UYI?

I agree with Neemo, YCBM was more or less the 'lead single'. The album had much anticipation so anything new was a part of UYI. Really, Civil War came out summer '90. Great song, got alot of radio play, was sortof an advance taste, but ppl thought the album was coming out that fall, so it kinda fell by the wayside & I don't think there was a video so MTV never gave it airplay. (We didn't have cable/MTV sad )

That said, pretty sure the album came out end of Sept, so we heard it all. November Rain made the rounds to some folks via cassette tapes (44 Caliber Horticulte). To answer your question, I think I was 18 at the time, I dunno, I wasn't a huge fan of it. Hated the endings vocals (Toniiiiiiiiiii=iiiiiiii-iiiiiight) and felt it was overproduced. Didn't need to be 2 versions on the album either. Otherwise tho, a 'ballad' or softer side wasn't really a complaint, although I guess there was a 'Why this song"' mentality to it being chosen, but I think ppl knew it likely had to do with marketing/sales & out of their hands. A year later, or even 6 months, post grunge, yeah you're definitely getting a rocker. SCOM was a bit of a chick song, and ballads were big in glam rock, plus there was Patience 2 years before. I'd have preferred a different single but I don't remember people hating the song for being too soft or a ballad, if that's what your asking. Plus, Metallica had Sandman & the Black album for the harder stuff folks. Beatles/Stones.

Its a trend but I don't think this is lasting or will become the new normal with stock buying. There's alot to investing, which I don't know a whole lot about, but earnings per share, returns etc. Some stable stocks, like Walmart, McDonalds, Apple & Google etc, anymore people buy knowing the company will pay back quarterly profits to its shareholders. Other companies, like Uber or some startup, people buy hoping it goes up over time. Buy it at $30 and hope it goes up to $300 etc

So its a balance. Problem is, now that Gamestop is is peaked, there's no upward momentum, and the quarterly payouts per share aren't much, since 1 share is overinflated at $400. So its paper & worthless at that price. Like buying a gold chain for $500 dollars, might only be worth $80 in gold but to the buyer they now believe its a $500 chain. Anyway, people will inevitably sell Gamestop, and few will buy it as its going down to $350, then few will buy at $300, then it'll crash rapidly down to $40. It might happen once or twice more with AMC or Best Buy or some other meme stock, but people will catch on if your not an 'early inflater' you'll just lose out.

It's pump & dump, all it is.

Its just incredible what Bradys done in his career. 10 Super Bowls?   Troy Aikmans ENTIRE NFL career was only 12 seasons, Brady made the SB in 10 seasons. Heck, probably made 12 conference championships.

I agree Packers would've been nice to see GB make it, change it up a bit. My thing would've been all the Brady haters would go on endlessly about how Rogers is better than Brady because of 1 game. This kinda shut the book on that discussion.
