Look at Tom Waits his voice sounds like a Cement mixer full of firecrackers. I Love that lived in smoke torn tone. Like Axl on Maddy or Tom on just about anything after his early records

Your right but a lot of people just cannot get over the image
"Slave To The Grind" by the way was almost universally panned by the critics. I'm not sure it's that much of an image thing.
Exile on main Street Was blasted by Critics when that came out wasn't till almost 20 years later that it started to get any respect. As far as 90s Metal albums go its pretty damn good

Your right but a lot of people just cannot get over the image and would brand a Band Like Skid Row un-Authentic when up against Grunge bands (and even tool and NIN though that argument is redundant in this case)

What? I don't see your logic. That 14 year old boy was probably the leader of a group of kids who gangraped an 8 year old girl.
I gotta side with Tommie. Try him as an adult, but then consider the boys age while sentencing as well (ie, don't give him 10-15 in prison). He needs much more than a year at juvie hall though.
Good point that would actually be the best way to deal with it. I hope thats what they have done here

This is all from wikipedia and sound suspect especially since the reference for Slashs comment is gnrsource.com
In May of 2009, reports surfaced that Rose had re-recorded 'Appetite For Destruction' with the current GNR lineup, in anticipation of the album's upcoming 25th anniversary. Several critics have denounced the mere suggestion of tampering with 'Appetite' as musical blasphemy and a blatant cash grab, effectively cutting Slash, McKagan, Stradlin and Adler out of future album royalties. In a recent interview, Slash reportedly responded to the rumor with, "Axl remakes Appetite and my lawyers will remake his balls."

#990 Re: The Garden » Saddam Hussein's fear of Iran » 868 weeks ago
If you are Saddam and you've been captured by the USA, why not mention a fear of Iran? It's no secret that Iraq and Iran arn't friends, and that the USA and Iran have been on difficult terms for years.
It's a pretty good common ground to make your case to the USA over. What i'm saying is, i expect there's some truth to the idea that Saddam had to posture to an extent to maintain power in his country and area, but I also don't seem him as a victim in this whole mess who was just playing tough to avoid a greater conflict and had no issue himself with the western world.
To my mind Iraq may not have had anything to do with 911 etc, however if you look at the decade between then and the Kiwait war...there's plenty to suggest Saddam was a bad guy. He's been trouble for 10 years or more.
???? May not ??? Iraq HAD NOt anything to do with September 11
