Damn. Dallas is on my birthday and Houston is a day after. It'd be a hell of a present/roadtrip.

NICE! hope it works out for you. And for all the US fans. 22

I want to just say, in theory, Alice In Chains on the bill would guarantee me an appearence if not multiple one's.

This more than any band at the moment since I've been on a huge Alice kick these past months.

Fozzy and/or Steel Panther would be a hella good time.

But Bach and Danko would do, I guess. A brother can dream, though.

Just noticed this --

Dallas' Verizon is about 6300, and Houston's Toyota Center is ~20k.

Is a disparity of this size normal?

Just had this exchange with a friend of mine from Dallas

"major artists charge dallas promoters about 2x what they charge for houston shows. i think they think we have a more affluent populace"

well, and probably just a better touring market in general. houston's is notoriously bad

That's probably right. I saw Guns in 2006 in a smaller and larger venue, and believe it or not the smaller venue cost more.

I thought Nikki said SIXX AM wouldn't be touring...

Is that what he said? I was assuming they would since they did the last outing.

Well they played the Motley Crue tour with a few other bands first album out.

I thought Motley was touring this year, being their 25th anniversary.  So unless Nikki did double duty I don't know if SixxAM would be in the cards.

Tommy Stinson was interviewed by WMMR in Philly prior to his Feb. 18th show.  He says when asked about the status of Guns N' Roses:

Tommy Stinson: Ya know, at some point I think it'll go back out again.  I don't really know.  There's talk of doing a United States tour.  But at the moment, there's nothing on the books.  I don't really know -- I'm waiting to hear.  I stay causiously optimistic and guarded about that one because I don't want to be the guy that says, oh yeah, we're going to do blah, blah, blah and then nothing materializes for a year.

He also talks about releasing new solo music in May, The Replacements, touring, getting stuck in London and more.
