annnnd... surprise surprise: Rolling Stone gave the song 4 stars in the new issue. Further proof that that magazine isn't fit to wipe one's ass with.

On one hand i'm stunned, on the other... not shocked. Typical RS.

It's a good riff, but not good enough to carry a whole song.  All in all, pretty terrible though. Lets hope there's some good shit on this album.

I think the only way that could work is Reed's hipster talking stuff was saved in an almost vocal-solo fashion.

Like you have a straight forward Metallica song. Then the guitar solo comes up, and instead of having the guitars up front, have Reed doing his thing, then have the guitars back it.

That's the only way I see it working and not being a total clusterfuck.

Hey Metallica, remember me Saint Anger? Welcome back.

I don't see this ever working. Wasted time.

My god, this is bad... 18

It sounds like Grandpa Simpson talking over a metal band jamming in the background

Damn shame too, there's some good stuff instrumentally there, particularly Mistress Dread, which is an all out thrashfest in parts!

Upon further review.... Yes, it's pretty awful... but I've decided it's salvageable. Can someone just remove lou reed from the record? It would be a decent semi- instrumental metallica record. And I do dig Junior Dad as well
