That was a long ass show! If they're doing covers, just bust out Since I've Been Loving You and drop Riff Raff.

They didn't play November Rain? That's gotta be an error.

And the Nice Boys thing pisses me off a bit. Axl's voice was so ON the other night, I was deseperately begging for Nice Boys to be played.

Anyone picking up on the little things that seem to be aimed at the forums? The "It's Beta's fault" at RIR. And now the Dexter theme intro?

GREAT set

don't think the dexter intro is aimed at the forums
they are little in-jokes we can pick up on, but i don't think axl's planning what he says & does just so he can go online later & check the reaction on the msgboards - he goes and checks that because he's bonko's.

i imagined they'd drop the dexter theme & go back to the general after they got out of florida
but for most in the audience it's a fun playful slightly menacing theme which is the point of using it. not a nod & a wink to us.

fwiw, new series of dex has been decent enough. far far better than last year. quinn is much better separated from deb & was quite funny e05. colin hanks & ej olmos have been super additions (tho olomos is underused thus far) & so to has been mos def.
much better casting that julia fucking styles & johnny lee miller.
dex needs more kills tho. obv.

I'd love to hear the entire band join in on Baba O Riley with Dizzy's solo leading into it, and then they could just drop riff raff or nice boys altogether.

A GNR version of Baba O Riley would float the shit outa my boat

Funny. It'd be cool if the rest of the band, Axl included decided to do the whole show in a Halloween costume.

Didn't they do this at Jacksonville in 2006?

Does Axl and DJ really need a costume?  smile

Seems it was rather long!

From Fernando's twitter:

@FLebeis: Last night's show was by far best show to date.  Axl killed it for 3:07 hours…
