yea one of the best american songwriters ever

accidentally like a martyr is one of my all time favourite songs, top 10 stuff.

my fave albums by him are the live album Stand in the Fire & prob Excitable Boy. but he's got a host of great albums really.
the wind is p special. he was never the most prolific but when he learned he only had so long to live he got cracking & made a really stunning final album. at times it's gutwrenching & other times just play rocking.
he had a sense of humour that you don't really get in rock music. or at least great rock music like his. there are a few sarcastic guys lyricist but none are as good a songwriter as zevon was.

but perhaps my all time best zevon moment is his cameo on the larry sanders show & larry makes him play werewolves of london when he really doesn't want to.

Haven't gotten around to live in the fire yet. I got a greatest hits and fell in love with it so sought out excitable boy and the wind, gonna go from there.

Werewolves of london is pretty similar to Kid Rock´s "All summer long". At first I though it was a version.
