Again... Slash on This I Love's solo is what Bucket was on his solo on Nightrain in 2002

Completely re-invents the song

Anybody that can't hear that, or think Robin Finck's is better is fucking deaf

You can't put your arms around a memory!  Amazing.

They played the start off it, then changed to Attitude.

Just to clarify for those out there, what Duff and the band did was an old school UYI-era INTRO trick.

Fucking loved that.

They intro'ed YCPYAAAM into Attitude

And it was fucking badass 9

Sounds like Coma is next...

I like Slash's solo here better than last nights, but I still prefer the album version. The crescendo that it builds to on the album just isn't there.

That's my only criticism of the night, it's still fantastic.

Coma

I need a boot of that Slash solo on TIL tonight. Fucking awesome. I pray for a re-release with that and the highpitch Axl vocals on the remix leak. Those things together and god it would be insane.

Coma

See here's the thing...

I ALWAYS FUCKING HATED Robin's solo. I prefer DJ Ashba's take on the song more than Robin's. When I remixed the album in 2010, I turned up the orchestra section over Robin, in order to let the guitar back the orchestra, rather than the other way around.

So for me, Slash's solo is great and makes the song brand-new.

Then again... I always thought Robin was a shit guitarist, and his TIL solo tops the fucking list of shit. So...

Only thing Robin did in the band I liked was his Better solo and his mid-section solo in TWAT

But both of those are not earth-shattering, nor are they on the level of Slash's NR & Don't Cry & Estranged solos.

To me, Slash on TIL, has finally made the song what Axl always wanted it to be... a sequel to November Rain.

Sitting here watching this, i can't believe they are playing Coma.
I remember always watching this on the Chicago '92 pro-shot and thinking we're not gonna hear it live again.
Yet here it is. With Slash and Duff nonetheless.
Unbelievable!
