There were some “November Rain” edits but to my understanding they were made by individual DJs and not approved by the band.

This reminds me of that one radio edit that ended right before the outro starts.

You saying that reminds me of this definitive performance of “Rhiannon.” Where the album version ends, this one actually leaves the earth and becomes supernatural. Stevie really is channeling something and the rest of the band is doing all it can to keep up. Look at Mick’s face near the end. Incredible.

Yeah....1976-79 Mac is on fire. Almost up there at Pink Floyd level. The level of talent there is just ungodly. It's essentially a supergroup.

Their performance on The Midnight Special is amazing.

I say this anytime I watch or post videos of my favorite bands(Floyd, Mac, GNR, Soundgarden)...

Why couldn't GNR do these kinds of shows? Other than the Late Show in 88, they never appeared on a TV program again (VMAs the exception).

The UYI craze just begged for an appearance on Letterman, Arsenio, and SNL.

They should've been on Letterman in July performing You Could Be Mine to promote Terminator 2.

Hit SNL in September performing Don't Cry and maybe Live and Let Die.

Instead...nada.

By that point they were too big time for late night appearances. Only large events like Mercury and VMA with Elton John attracted their interest.

Would be nice to have of course, but at the same time it's a badge of honor to be above most of that. No need to whore yourself more than necessary.
