Not giving any credit to this story possibly being true but CDs are only released on Tuesdays in the US.

Wrong my friend.  I live in Canada and cd's and dvd's new releases are on Tuesday also.  You know the US are not alone in the world.    Seriously new releases are on Tuesdays in Canada too.  I don't know if it is like that in other countries but that is how it works here as well.
