Navarro is kind of cool I guess. Seems like a nice guy no matter how big of a pussy he seemed like on his reality TV show. He is a solid guitar player.
That being said, he isn't "badass" or "killer" or "brilliant" or any of those things. Just watch Camp Freddy, he is a good cover band player. He is often more worried about his looks and not wearing a shirt than actual playing. I like the guy, he is good, but there are a lot better players in your own city than Dave Navarro. I would be okay if he joined GNR however, remember who he is buddies with. Matt, Slash, Duff, Dave, Weiland, on and on. Do you think Axl would want him around now? Doubt it.

Navarro is az interesting guitar player. RHCP made their best album with him. Dave is not a guitar god, but there are only a few, and I'm unsure if Axl wants any in his band. Navarro would be a great addition to Axl's band, although as far as I remember, he said that the best decision of his career was not joining Guns N' Roses.

Yeah, Guns: Navarro is a phenomonal player, and a super-nice guy. Do you own a Jane's Addiction album? Dave's a really creative player as well as being a "traditional" lead guitarist with chops.

In my eyes, Slash isn't a guitar God either. I reserve that classification for people like Hendrix, Clapton, Duane Allman, Townsend, Page, Richards, David Gilmour etc. Slash has two truly legendary songs and that is it.
