They didn't win, did they? The guy that did nothing won. So unless they did less than nothing somehow, I'm sure they were all better choices.
You can't really defend the guy that did nothing winning by saying you've never heard of the other guys. Who cares? State your case for why Obama deserved to win 2 weeks into his term. I'd love to hear it.

So to recap: You can't state what qualifies someone to win an award, nor cite why previous award winners deserved it, nor have you ever previously had much interest in the award. Yet you feel Obama shouldn't have won the award.

That sure looks like nothing to me. They're happy it's not a Republican. Yipee for him. That's as prize worthy as anything I've ever heard.
The funny thing about it is... Obama has carried on Bush's foreign & financial policies.
But because it's a Democrat, and not Dubya, somehow it's "change".
And this is coming from an Obama supporter.
In case anyone is wondering, this post is meant to be an attack on both the diehard Progressives & Conservatives. Prog's don't get that supporting Obama is basically supporting Bush, and Conservatives don't get they're calling Bush's own policies "socialism".

For the record, I stated that it is not the greatest President Award, so he Presidency is irrelevant to the award. I also posted 5 or 6 pictures of the unity that was brought worldwide, as people across the globe were inspired by his messege, and belief that there is a better world we can create. The American flag being waved by people living overseas in shacks, the excitement the little boy has as he holds up the photo.
You can say this doesn't mean shit to being a good President, and be right, but I do think it qualifies him as a Nobel Peace Prize nominee. If you can name a better winner, I'm all ears.

He's been blocked by a Congress controlled by his own party because they know that the "change" he campaigned for was in now way realistic or even possible. They just didn't want to say anything about it until he was elected.
The ineptness of the Democratic party should not be blamed on Obama's goals. They have been unorganized, over stretched, and ineffective for decades.
I admit certain moves or non-moves by Obama are puzzling but I can't say he hasn't put full effort into it and revitalized the US's foreign image to a certain extent. Without giving anything up to other countries we have regained our respect in the eyes of the world.
