No it's not, it's called being nearly 50, and have your hair braided for a near decade.

Black, white, doesn't matter... i've had friends who've did the braids for a long time, and ALL of them look just like Axl's hair when they take them out. It damages the hair permanately, and they get that big bushy, thinned look.
