I dunno I love bucket but I'm not sure he really was the fit for GNR.
Like stuff like soothsayer and notthinham lace are amazing and axl over them would be like the best song ever, but his music jumps around so much..I think we'd have albums full of the 'masturbating robots' better sequence...and i'm not sure that's what most fans want.
One thing I'll grant though is that GNR needs a guitar hero, slash was the man back in the day, and bucket has the chops to blow people away in a similar fashion...i'm just not sure if he fitted in enough.

No he wasn't. He technically was but nobody including Axl could get past the rest of it.
And that's a sad sorry reality.
I still stand by that Buckethead was the most brilliant guy ever to be in GNR, and what Axl and Bucket could have done if Axl had managed to get all the weird guitar stuff away, and focused on those brilliant solos and ideas Bucket always have, it could have been the best damn writing partnership ever.

I really like some of his Gnr Boots really hate some of them also. Same goes for his other music. I have a hard time getting past that vid of him playin with that toy robot like it was flying tho.
The GnR image from MTV with bucket and robin also took a while to get over.
