SEBASTIAN BACH: New Audio Interview Available - Dec. 13, 2007

A brand new audio interview with former SKID ROW frontman Sebastian Bach conducted by Mike Metal of "The Metal File" on CHOM 97.7 FM in Montreal, Quebec, Canada is available for download at this location (14 MB).

Bach's new solo album, "Angel Down", has sold 13,000 copies in the United States since its November 20 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD is Sebastian's follow-up to 1999's "Bring 'Em Bach Alive", which has shifted just under 20,000 units in the U.S. to date.

"Angel Down" was produced by Roy Z (BRUCE DICKINSON, HALFORD, JUDAS PRIEST), and recorded at Sound City Studios and Under City Studios in Los Angeles, CA. Joining Bach in the studio were guitarists "Metal" Mike Chlasciak and Johnny Chromatic, Bobby Jarzombek on drums, and Steve DiGiorgio on bass. GUNS N' ROSES' Axl Rose makes a special guest appearance contributing vocals on three of the album's songs '” "(Love is a) Bitchslap", a cover of AEROSMITH's "Back In the Saddle" and "Stuck Inside".

The cover art for "Angel Down" is an original painting by Bach's late father, the celebrated Canadian artist David Bierk who died in 2002. The painting, entitled "David Watching", was painted in 1990, so an emotional choice for Bach. Bierk also created the cover artwork for SKID ROW's 1991 album "Slave To The Grind", which Rolling Stone voted one of the top 5 album covers of the year. His paintings have been exhibited in art galleries all over North America.

Good for Baz!

So he's going out as a headliner or going to share the bill with another band?

Well that depends on where the tour goes to.
He sold out all his Japanese tour.  He can headline a Theater
tour it would not be the first time & he has always done well on tour.

I don't think he can do MSG on his own  but other
sources tell me a DVD is also in the works & the group
has even been working on new music for a follow up to Angel Down.
Either way it's under a month Baz has already sold 13,000 CDs
& again that's American  Retail store only with International & Internet sales
Sebastian as a Solo Artist will continue to get bigger & bigger & not sure
if you where listening when he said he now is supported by Can con  which
means he will all so be funded by the Canadian government not to shabby
for under a month.    3

Re: Angel Down up to 13,000 sold in the US alone

excellent news for Baz.  13000 for his first month is not shabby at all.  especailly if thats just US.

I'm sure it sold about the same in Japan, no?

hopefully he comes to Vegas to play this new album, and it'd be cool to see him belt out the skid row classics again.

There are some naysayers when it comes to Baz but who cares?  Yes he can be a tool and an Axl suck but bottom line is the album is good.  Weiland gets the same shit.  No VR is NOT as good as STP and No Baz isn't as good as vintage Skid Row, BUT the music is still better than 90% of the other garbage calling itself 'rock'...put that in your peace pipe and smoke it!
