Re: Bumblefoot In The Studio

Ron has been posting video he's taken as he's recording and what goes on in the studio.

I figured, I keep this up to date as he posts them, I'll post them here.

Here are the first 2 vids

Nov 19th 2007 "Day 2"

Nov. 20th, 2007 'Kick Tom'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXhZHyRHMcs

The second vid was posted today.

I think this is pretty damn cool of BBF to do and I'll keep updating this thread.

out of curiosity, why bother doing all that? why not just play guitares faster and drumms slower? or is he just playing to get the timing that he thinks is right because the timing of the guitar is differnt than the drums hmm

That's interesting, seems like you need an engineering degree to figure that all out.

Neemo, my guess is the actual beat & pounding of the drum & cybal crash lasts a bit longer, when slowed down. It stretches the duration 8.5375264473152508%

Quote from BBF on his forum about this

it's the equivalent of speeding up a tape machine, recording tracks, than putting the speed back to normal, so that everything sounds slowed down and sluggish - kinda Strawberry Fields-ish. Did it for the drums on "Wasted Away" also...
