I doubt that Axl even wrote that himself.

And anyone who believes the things said about Buckethead in that letter should reconsider.

He was just trying to save the bits and pieces by blaming BH for everything that happened. After the chat I had with Tommy, I believe Axl is somewhat right in this matter.

Oh he spoke shit about Bucket.

He said GNR was better off without him, that everythings ok now when Bucket had left.
He also said something about Bucket "shitting in his own bucket".
How Bucket was erratic, that he could never speak to him.
How he was a weird guy.

Not very pleasant things.

Tommy seemed very pleased he was gone.

Often wondered if it was simply some kind of defense from trying to make it look like Bucket was bad and that they were better off without him, like someone being dumped and trying to convince themselves they are better off without that person.

We were 3 or 4 persons talking to him. One of them said...I think it was Nytunz from HTGTH or his friend. It wasn't my friend or myself.

But he said:

"So, everything is ok?" (meaning the band...not broken up etc)
"Yeah, now it is.." said Tommy.

I don't know.

But he was sincere and meant what he said. I understood that if GNR had any chance of continuing as a band, Bucket had to go. Wouldn't really know though, it's just the impression I got at the time. That Bucket just didn't work with the rest of them...or Tommy. Tommy was pleased he was gone and felt everything was better.

It was in 2004..a long time ago now.

I was somewhat breaking trust by telling, but then again, back then we had no clue about anything going on and I was just happy to help out and dig out whatever I could.

I remember I mentioned Ron to him...this was when Ron first was approached. I said "I hear rumours about a guy called Bumblefoot" and Tommy had no clue who he was.

"Guess I'll see what's up when I go back", he said.

2 years later Ron was the new guitarist.

"Will you make videos" asked Nytunz or his friend

"Suuuure!", said Tommy.

Well, they tried to get him back in 2006 so things couldn't have been too bad with him around...

Yeah he came out like that in another pic too. But in the third one he looked fine. He didn't seem under the influence when he played or when he spoke. He just came out odd in the pictures.

Remember Tommy and Axl argued in 2006....

Maybe because Axl wanted Bucket back?

And there's difference between one persons feelings towards another and what the whole band wants.

Re: The Possibility of a Guns N' Roses '09 Summer tour

No matter what the circumstances might be one thing is for sure:

Tommy is awesome.

It's too bad that I wasn't able to catch him back in 2004.
